Dunhill pipe price reduction

On the SmokingPipes web site, I see four Dunhill Group 3 Amber Root pipes for $550. Very recently, such pipes were listed at $715. A significant reduction!

I've heard rumors that Dunhill is quitting the pipe tobacco business. Maybe this is a clue that Dunhill is quitting the pipe-making business too. Clearance pricing?

I hope not. That would be a loss for the pipe world.

And tonight, I see dozens of “Fresh” Dunhill pipes on SmokingPipes web site. I’ve never seen anywhere near that number of “Fresh” pipes before. Ominous, I think.

I sure hope not. Though I generally sell Dunhill's when I pick them up, they're just nice pipes along with their tobacco products.....

I'm afraid it's true; Dunhill is getting out of the tobacco trade, pipes included. People are hoarding their tobaccos left and right. Maybe it's a marketing scheme, but I doubt it.
