I have the opportunity to grab one of these wine coolers for 50 bucks. Is there any reason it won't work as a wineador?

Should work fine. If you use it for it's cooling function it may require a bit more set up and work as it is compressor driven vs thermoelectric, but thats it really. Google can help you with that part as it can be a bit more involved to help avoid rapid humidity changes and condensation when the compressor kicks on to cool it.
If you never plug them in, like mine, it's just a fancy cooler and any of them will work.

Buy it! I've got a similar one that I use for a humidor and it works great.

I did forget to mention you may have an issue finding pre-made drawers and shelves for that. It is not as common as the New Air ones but most places can custom make drawers and shelves.
Thats if you even want them in it. Some people keep the metal shelves instead. Nothing really wrong with either option.

For the price I may grab it just to have something nicer than a cooler, then again not sure I want something with a window where my wife can see how many cigars I actually have.
Living in the south though I do want the cooling option, not to worried about drawers/shelves I'll just make my own if I don't like what's in there.

If you need it to cool, you need one that is thermoelectric and not compressor driven. The compressor will draw the moisture out of the unit and you will have a very hard maintaining the proper humidity.
