Greetings,
I am new to this forum and to cigars in general, having really only gotten into them a few weeks ago. In the last few weeks, I've bought my first box of cigars (from the Vallarta Cigar Factory), acquired a humidor (coincidentally, given to me by someone who had no idea I smoked the occasional cigar), and am now learning as much as I possibly can.
I had no idea this forum existed, but I've posted recently on reddit (where I heard about this one), the precursor forum to this one (where I'm just now reading what seems to have happened over there), and a forum that caters to us Canucks. I've already posted some of my interesting journey in these other places, but not sure on the cross-linking rules. I suspect many here are on those other sites, so hopefully you've seen me there.
This looks like a very active place with dedicated and knowledgeable people, so that's the best a noob like me could hope for!
Cheers,
Phil

Oh, I'm definitely getting that impression.
Very dangerous, that!

Oh, fear not, I will ask questions! That's how I learned so much in the past few weeks. When I went back to the place where I bought RyJ Purritos about 7 weeks ago while knowing absolutely nothing, and talked about seasoning my humidor, doing pre-light draws, checking for plume vs mold, how I seemed to like the taste of maduro wrappers, the owner was asking "Are you the same guy who was here 7 weeks ago knowing nothing?"
When I get into something, anything, I obsessively try to learn everything about it.
I detailed my progression in a post titled "A noob's journey" at...that other place. Once again, not sure on the consensus on cross-linking.
I must say, so far, everyone I have come across in this community has been top-notch in the welcoming and trying to help department. Amazing.

Welcome, Phil. Yes, this forum should be called CigarEnabler :)
There's also a pretty healthy pipe forum here as you may have noticed.
I always root for Canadian hockey teams when one of my teams isn't in the running (Red Wings and Capitals).
Welcome to the Site!
Now Sit Back, Grab a Cigar, and Enjoy the Show!!
