A question or two Before I make an order today!

Good morning everyone,
I just have a couple quick questions before I place an order today.

I have several online vendors that are my "go to" spots when placing tobacco and or pipe orders, Smokingpipes, Pipes&Cigars, WVSmokeshop, etc.. I know that places like P&C and Smokingpipes sell both pipe and cigar goods, which is where I have been getting my sticks so far, as I try to find my likes and dislikes.

There is a thread here that has a list of good vendors in respect to cigars, with a small info description for each, about deals and such.

For someone like me I need a place that has a decent selection and the ability to buy singles. I don't feel comfortable yet buying a box of 5 or more cigars I have never tried. I was looking at Cigars International, because it seemed to fit the bill, and unless I am mistaken they own P&C.

So I guess I said all that to ask:
Where would be my best bet for a good selection of cigars w/ singles, while I am in this "taste" learning phase? Lastly, do any of them have free shipping on orders of $95-$100, like many of the pipe vendors I use? I hate to sound like a cheapskate, but I am on a fixed income so any savings if always helpful.

P&C and C&I are both owned by the same company. While I do like them and shop them both they are having a lot of issues with their computer systems right now and thus causing a lot of delays with the orders. I would give them a little time before shopping with them. Famous smoke shop has a good variety of cigars and has a discount code for cigarbum. Cheaphumidors has a code for us as well.

If I have to go with singles I usually buy from Atlantic Cigar. Prices are usually pretty good and they have quite a bit to choose from. Not sure on free shipping as it is still cheaper than locally even with shipping.

What exactly are you looking for? A bunch of cheapies or a sampler of boutique stuff? If it's the latter I'd go with someone like small batch or fine ash cigars. They both have decent samplers or can put something together for you if you call. We also get a discount with small batch and I'm pretty sure fine ash also.

Just recently ordered from 2 guys and when perusing their inventory, they seem to have singles in any brand. Prices seem reasonable too.

I'm typically buy 5'ers but understand where you might only want to buy 2 or 3.

I've never bought singles from my on-line vendors; singles are almost always purchased during my B&M visit. With that said I've never had any issues purchasing my cigars from any of these vendors:

Not really cheapies, I am planning to get a box of 5 Padron 2000 Naturals or Maduro, a Few Oliva sticks and probally a couple Curley Head Deluxe. But I also want to grab a couple singles to try out as well.

Cigar place is my usual go to for singles and five packs. They also do $1 shipping occasionally and free shipping on some items.

If you call small batch or fine ash they might be able to put together a sampler for you of what you want. I would avoid CI or P&C right now.do to their issues. I know a lot of people who have had mixed results from them in the past, so I don't usually order there anyway.

If you decide you are game for fivers instead of singles, Famous Smoke has the 5 pack frenzy where you get (I think) every 4th fiver for free.

cigarplace.biz is a good place to pick up singles.
cheaphumidors is a great place and they are active here on the Bum.
cigarmonster.com is great too. You can get pretty good prices on 5ers and the occasional box there. Prices there are shipped IIRC.

cigarplace.biz is good, have free shipping offers frequently and email offers if you sign up with them and they take a money order or check if you don't want to burn up a credit card and are very helpful. fast shipping too but I live on east coast
