View Full Version : Bruck's OCD - can I get a witness?

Recent acquisitions/bombs from Haebar, Tobias Lutz, and other bums have pretty well consumed the empty space in my tobacco cabinet, plus I had to temporarily empty it as Mrs. Bruck was rearranging the guest room where it resides. As I restocked it, I figured it would be a good time to inventory and organize the danged thing. So I figured I'd share it with y'all:

All told, there are 101 jars of pipe tobacco, totaling an estimated 12#. Not shown are my pipe rack, another cigar box full of tobacco-related accessories and supplies, and another humidor which resides in the living room.

Does anyone else suffer from this disease? :)

If you mean the disease of OCD organizing, I'd say hell no; all my pipe stuff, except for a small portion that is currently in use, is crammed into random cardboard boxes and stacked here and there alongside various other crap in a room used for general, miscellaneous storage. One fine day I'd like to snag a non-working, vintage refrigerator, gut the thing and build out the inside with nice wood shelves or compartments or something... but let's face it, that will probably never happen.

However, if you only have a measly 12 lbs of pipe tobacco, I'd say you definitely need to go shopping ASAP for some boxes of bulk and quart mason jars! :pipe:

Looks good. Only organizing I do is keep my aros separated from the non aros on a shelf in a cheap storage cabinet. I keep a couple jars my usual go to's on the top shelf with space cleared for packing the pipe and rest of the stock on the next shelf. Hope to someday have it stocked with each shelf for a different variety.

Wow! Much more organized than I.

I have a tiny glass fronted corner-cabinet I keep my pipes and tobacco I'm currently smoking in.

The vast majority of my pipe tobacco is in unopened tins, unsorted by type, only sorted by year tinned, and dumped into plastic storage bins stacked in a back closet. Also LOTS of bulk in mason jar flats stacked by year jarred up, also stacked in a back closet.
