I've been getting frustrated lately because I hit up the antique stores and flea markets as often as possible and haven't came across a decent pipe in a few months.
That changed this weekend. There was a nice antiques show about an hour from the house and we hit it up.
I scored 5 pipes. 3 Dr. Grabows and 2 Ben Wade's, one of the BWs was an awesome freehand. All pipes for only $63
I'm pretty stoked.

Here's a group photo.
The bottom 4 are nothing special, just everyday smokers, but I'm excited about the freehand.

If you want to see them a little closer up, here's a link to the video I posted on my Youtube channel.

Nice score! I am obsessed with freehand pipes and that freehand looks sweet. Wish there were things like that around here, hard to pass up a deal like that. Congrats.

Thank you sir.

The pic does not do the freehand justice. The grain is really nice. I fell in love as soon as I saw it.
It was in a jewelry case with trinket costume jewelry and it had $40 on it. I did a quick search on my phone, and saw that Smokingpipes.com had several that ranged from $135 - $175 and immediately went back.

She came down to $30 and I pounced. She said that she loved the fact that I loved it so much so I guess I didn't hide it well. I try not to let it show if I'm really into something so they will be more apt to come down in price.

I can't wait to get it cleaned up. I'm taking it to my local shop tomorrow. They do a pretty good job cleaning up old estates.

Nice score buddy! I used to spend a lot of time hitting the garage/estate sales from Thursday to Sunday, and did quite well picking up this and that along the way and turning the items for profit. It seems to have gotten harder the last few years as there's so many more people out there doing the same these days, and they're so much more knowable with a phone in their hands.......

Very nice score! I used to scan the online estate sale website for around here and occasionally they would have some pipes and accessories
listed. Once in awhile they would have a humidor and cutter's etc. Have not seen anything at all in the last year.

Very cool. I've wandered around a few places like that with my wife and they're always entertaining, but seems like most of the sellers are in love with their own merchandise. I tell my wife I think they're not interested in selling anything, but they like chances to show off their collections. Anyway, awesome that you actually scored a good deal!

I definitely saw some folks like that.
There was a guy selling some of his firearms in one of the booths. There were a couple of used Ruger Blackhawk revolvers he had $650 on. They were the ones that are $500 brand spanking new at any gun shop you go into. lol

Nice find!
It's been a while since I've hit up the antique shops. I need to get back out there!

That looks like it's going to be an awesome pipe once cleaned up. I went through a big free hand stage then traded/sold most them off. Now you got me wanting to find a couple to add back in my collection LOL!
