Cleaning cutter

seems to be a problem here. Since I seem to produce considerable moisture the cutter gets all gummed up between annual cleanings :cool:

Popped it apart and used toothbrush (new) water and soap then dry.

Anybody got anything better?

Saw that....no residue with the break cleaner....seems easy enough.

I attempted to take apart my Xikar xi1 to clean it and succeeded, but could not get it back together. You need three hands or some sort of incredible dexterity to get it back together. I took it to a shop to see if they could do it, and after a while, they gave up and just gave me a new one.

Denatured alcohol and a q tip works pretty good. I don't think I'd spray brake cleaner on a cutter.

I LOVE and admire CO, but we'd rather you didn't. Please understand, we're trying to be the old school filling station here. We want all services rendered and have them right in front of us. We'd much prefer that you copy/paste the information, rather than shift us off to another click-intensive experience. This is by no means a CB policy. I'm just speaking as a guy who loves to smoke and read about cigars and the stuff that goes with'em. If someone comes up with something interesting/intriguing, we wanna see it and see it right in front of us. I promise to do you the same service. How's that? ;)

That's what happens when you reinvent the wheel. It's a great device (I have two), but if it goes whacky, well... I figger, that's what that great warranty is for.

Damn skippy. 91-99% alcohol and Q-tip are cigar accessory's best friends. Be it lighter, or cutter, that's the ticket.
