DE Herrera Esteli Londsdale Deluxe
Manufacturer: Drew Estates
Brand: Herrera Esteli
Size: Londsdale Deluxe 6x44
Price: $8.40
Rest Time: 3-Months
Burn Time: 2:00 Hours
Prelight: The Herrra Esteli Londsdale is a beautiful cigar with a soft, oily cocoa colored wrapper with a firm even pack. I use my smallest punch to open the cap and off we go. Prelight aroma Is cedar, grass and tobacco with a prelight draw of grass, earth and pepper.
1st 3rd:
On first draw I get bitter wood, some pepper and leather. After the cigar settles down I'm getting leather, some vegetal and hay like flavors and a strong pepper mid-palate. The smoke is rich and creamy with a sweet honey finish.

2nd 3rd:
Entering the second third the smoke is medium in body with no detectable strength, it lacks the typical DE foot smoke, but it is still plentiful. There is some nuttiness mixing with the leather and vegetal flavors and the pepper has died down quite a bit replaced with a buttery finish.
Final 3rd:
The final third sees some woody notes layered with nuts and honey. The smoke is medium to full bodied with some strength coming on as I head toward the band. The pepper has reemerged but it's now more white than black pepper.
Summary:
The HE Londsdale is a great medium bodied smoke, the flavors were not overly complex, but there were some decent flavor shifts. The burn was solid only requiring one relight which was my fault as I was reading too many Puff posts and let it go out. I really like the look, feel and size of this stick. It's close in size to my favorite vitola the lancero and while there is a lance in this line it's $4-5 more. Based on the reviews I've read the only flavor shift in their lance is bit more black pepper.
