You wouldn't like it in Portland too many breweries. Keep Portland Beered!
Ahh But I hear the people there are cool to hang with ;) I would SUFFER through all the mediocre craft beer...

You're the former Auburnguy, correct?
I picked up one of those propane heat lamps having seen one in your (I believe) earlier posts. Sent it back - too loud and impossible to light and keep lit. Does yours work okay?

Yes, I am AuburnGuy. I don't think it is loud at all. I have one, and DogRockets has 2 now because of me. They are louder on a fresh tank, but once it is used for a little bit it isn't loud at all. I don't even hear it or notice it. You may have gotten a dud. I use them on job sites most every day and I have never had issues with them staying lit if there is fuel. I have converted many people to them. Sorry, you didn't like it.

Yeah I can say the two that I have are fantastic and have been a gamechanger for my winter cigar smoking. I would say the noise level is actually barely noticable. I either listen to Pandora or am reading when I'm outside and don't notice the noise at all.

This afternoon I had a 5X54 Romeo y Julieta Media Noche cigar.:stogie: This cigar has only been resting in my 65% rh humidor since 12-29-2014. This cigar has a San Andres wrapper; which I have been very fond of. After lighting this cigar I got spice, pepper, coffee and a nice sweetness.:apple: This cigar was extremely mild. This cigar is visually beautiful; dark chocolate color no problem veins, excellent burn and great draw with the ash hanging on for more than an inch at a time.:cheerful: I have a feeling that this cigar will improve with age so I will let the four remaining from my five pack sit around for a while. I topped off this smoke with a very large hot cup of coffee which went so well with this smoke.

Brian! That is the question that I have asked myself many times. I have had multiple samples of the 5 Vegas Gold cigars and have simply not liked them; all of the ones that I have tried from samplers had good construction with good burn and draw, but the flavor profile was horrible to my palate.:stogie: I wish that I did enjoy these sticks because they are visually attractive and priced well. I remember what an old Puff- banned puffer (Cigary) use to say "one man's treasure is another man's horror".:confusion:

ETA: This is a very nice cigar. Very rich, chewy smoke with lots of earth and a nice coffee & cocoa finish. Definitely builds strength as it goes. Delicious with some Famous Grouse.

Yeah, back in the garage again tonight but that's just fine as I have a wife who has the flu and kids in bed asleep. Oh yeah, I also have some episodes of Vikings to catch up on with a fridge in stumbling distance and 90 inches of projection in case I start seeing silly. Ah, just one more reason, a good smoke of course... Illusione 888.

J fuego origen originals.....good and spicy so far.
Still no sound inside... wifee and kids still asleep so I guess that mean another visit to the humi and a fine brew to go with it. Hmmm... what will it be. I think perhaps one of those Tat Regios that were hiding from me for so long. :)

Played my first round of golf yesterday and had a couple cigars. First the 'V', then my favorite 'budget' cigar, a La Aurora Escogidos Maduro. That one had over a year on it and is smoking better than ever.
Fun day.

I did cut it back more after the first draw which temporarily stopped the gusher but by the end of the cigar my napkin was full of tar from blotting it. It's tough trying to keep the mouth and tongue away from the tar but since it is the first time that the short story has did this to me I will consider it a variance from the norm.

Let's just be honest here guys. A RP may taste good, but they all burn like total crap haha. I mean construction wise I think they are awful :p
The reason I found out that they kind of sorta blossom after years of rest is because I refused to smoke them and forgot about them in my cooler lol.

Interesting. My experience is that RPs have impeccable construction. Not trying to invalidate your experience - it is yours after all. For me, flavours can be hit or miss for the brand but the construction is always flawless...

Fair enough. Just my experiences are that most RPs don't burn so great. Of course, I am not paying top dollar for any RP either. I am sure there are parts of their line that are constructed very well, but I am not buying em lol.

I thought about doing a review for it but just wanted to relax and enjoy it. Probably the strongest Opus Ive had to date, it put me on my ass.
Aroma out of the cello was amazing, pungent peat with that familiar Opus aged cognac rum barrel fragrance. Incredibly complex smoke w/heavy cayenne, earth, coffee, sugar cane, anise & plum.
Really wish these were easier to find and much cheaper, ah well.
Have a great day guys.

Do you like it more than the #9? I can get the niner here, but don't know if it's worth the trouble to get the T52....

Placeres habano robusto, decent yard gar, not much complexity here, but overall enjoyable. A pretty cheap smoke, give it a shot for your yardworking days. Construction was alright, cap is large and stays put the whole way. Keep you lighter handy, this one went completely out on me at one point.

I actually never heard of them. I looked them up and they're higher than giraffe loving for a yard gar. I can get a box of Fuente Double Château's for that price on CI. Maybe I'm just getting cheap or I know what I like for that price. Not knocking you my friend, but that's a high price for them...

You know I like the 9 but I'm not a huge fan for the price. overall not sure which I liked better. I'm a maduro man at heart but I think I liked the 52 more.

A tin of 25 for 40 bucks? Seems like a cheap lil smoke to me...

Yep, the ones I seen were around a buck and a quarter to a buck forty a box. I was thinking that I wish had your income to spend on yard gars......
Best,

Currently enjoying the soon-to-be-formerly oldest stick in my collection, a 5 Vegas 2013 Limitada, at just under 2 years old (I'm not an ager). Actually, I have some pre-aged PGs from 2005, so technically it's the one I've owned the longest. Nonetheless, a fine smoke is being smoked :)

Got into the budget tupperdor and grabbed a UC Corona Viva. Plugged and unsmokeable so I laid it down after about 3/4". Started to make another choice but decided to just wait until tomorrow.

Tried a La Gloria Cubana "Glorias in Cedros" today. These are the ones that come in the aluminum tubos.
About two and a half months ago I had cracked each tubo and let it sit in the humidor to try to get some air into and/or out of it. However, it wasn't enough. These things are wet as hell. Smoked terribly.
I'm going to have to pull all of them out of the tubos and let them sit for a good 6 months naked before trying again.
...aand the second cigar of the day goes to:
