Sat down to smoke my first ever Tatuaje Cojonu 2009. Was a great stick other than the tight draw. Biggest problem is I only got to smoke 1/3 of it before I got called by the security company at my work that we had a break in so I had to go deal with that. Well when I got back home the cigar had got knocked off the table and fell into a puddle of water from the hose. Oh well, good thing I have 9 more to try.

Ian - originally found at a B&M and really liked it. Bought a box from JR in May at a tad over $3 per stick. So not alot of rest here before it went out.
I thought they were a really good smaller smoke for the price $78 / 25. They were running an add on deal too so it was a good buy at the time. JR seems to run deals with the Upmanns quite a bit. Glad to hear you liked it as well.

Smoking a big ole honker of a 5 Vegas Gold secretly sent by Zeede knowing I was curious if it went well with lighter styles of beer. It just so happens that after I cool down and rehydrate after mowing I like to drink beer so I'll be tryin it with some cream ale I brewed up that's a bit young, as well as my honey wheat and jalapeño blonde.

Smoking a big ole honker of a 5 Vegas Gold secretly sent by Zeede knowing I was curious if it went well with lighter styles of beer. It just so happens that after I cool down and rehydrate after mowing I like to drink beer so I'll be tryin it with some cream ale I brewed up that's a bit young, as well as my honey wheat and jalapeño blonde.

Tight draw, maybe bec the humidity but maybe not. Maybe that is how the Oliva lanceros are? Really smooth the first third with not a lot of spice. 2nd third it picked up a bit with the spice but still not a ton just really smooth again with some oakiness. I thought it would geta little more spice in the last third but it held. Friend I got it from bought a signed box in 96 and they have been resting ever since.

Decided to start smoking some of my older cigars to allow the ones with less age to come around a bit more. This was a CAO Black Bengal from 07. (see review here Stogie Reviews: CAO Black Bengal | The Stogie Guys (http://www.stogieguys.com/2007/08/08012007-stogie-reviews-cao-black-bengal.html) ). These where cigars that the devil site really had great deals on back then. Not sure if it was because they are considered “light”, but you could get a box for about $50 and they must have had a huge production run, because they had a lot of them for sale. Everyone I knew got a few boxes at that costs. I actually still have a few sealed boxes in various sizes.

The cigar didn’t age as well as others, but the age has really improved the cigar over the years. Still somewhat “one dimensional”, but the harshness is all, but gone leaving you with a nice mellow relaxing cigar. No spice or twang, just sweet mellow goodness. Plus it’s cool to pull off the cedar wrap and light your cigar with it as an extra bonus.

Haven't tried a maduro yet, but the natural Aganorsa leaf and their Miami Reserve were both top notch. I'm a believer so far in Casa Fernandez.

Brohiba perfecto. Innards are some combination of nicaraguan and dominican leaves; binder is "one sucker" from KY; wrapper is CT broadleaf grown in KY (not sure if that's legal :)). A very nice little smoke.

Studying at the cigar shop with the biggest cigar I've ever smoked. This was the 6.5 x 64 one. 3 hours +/-, and it was pretty good the whole time.

The night was a little humid with a slight breeze, only had to touch it up 1X.
I would say it was medium - medium/full, nice flavor from 1st light.
It got a little hot in the last 1/3, but I think that was a result of smoking faster than normal.

Excellent med-full cigar. Still has all of the JdN flavors but not nearly the kick-you-in-the-nuts strength. I keep some in my humidor at all times.

One thing I notice is that it's quite smooth. Hoping to find it enjoyable all the way through as I'm really digging this!
