Had a Gurkha Empire Series II last night. Freaking fantastic. Seriously. Four years old. I have a lot of 3-5 year old Gurkhas I've been smoking lately. Mostly very impressed with the aging process.

Good day for 'courtesy of Tobias Lutz ' cigars! This one was dated from '13, and I've had it for well over a year since Tobias sent it to me in a MAW. I decided to make it my final cigar to enjoy on my back patio before we move this Tuesday.

The Honey and Handgrenades didn't let me down. It was one of the most unique cigars I've smoked, starting with the presentation and then all through the smoke. The pipe smokers will know what I'm talking about when I say it distinctly reminded me of Dunhill Nightcap (or is it Early Morning?), with a singular mossy flavor that I (rightly or wrongly) associate with Latakia. I enjoyed it immensely, and it was a treat to smoke a very limited run cigar that's probably all but gone now since it was released back in 2012. Thanks Tobias!

I honestly have no idea.

They were in a box by the door of the walk in humidor at my local shop for $1.90 each. They said "seconds" and the sticker on them said "sweet".

I said, "What the hell" and grabbed one because I knew I was going golfing today and I don't take good sticks on the course any more. I was actually surprised. It was only slightly sweet and was very smooth. At about the 2" mark it got bitter and I tossed it but the first 4" was actually good. It stayed lit no matter how long I sat it down. I'm going to pick up a handful of them next time I'm in just for the golf course.

Well I dug into the box of stuff I bought and wasn't smokeable from back in the late nineties and came out with a Havana Classico. I was actually surprised as it was a decent smoke. It may be my last as I may well drown in the next few days. They're saying we're expecting seven to eight inches of rain with the chance of up to thirteen inches through Thursday night from the tropical storm coming through Texas. Just an incredible amount of water to move " down the creek". Old Smokey I hope you guys make it well as a lot of the weather computer models have it heading your way after it pisses all over us....

David, yup. I have been watching that system for several days and it looks like Thursday is going to be our heaviest rain day. But the last couple of months has been pretty dampish. I hope my tomato plants know how to swim. Our hot, hot, hot weather lady is saying it may track a little south of us so we will just have to see.

Needed a short smoke this evening so went with another Jericho Hills Shots. Damn these little cigars are tasty.

Yes sir, my tomato plants apparently made a midnight run to Gander Mountain as they were all wearing life jackets this morning. I've harvested 15 to 20 tomatoes so far, along with a bunch of green beans, squash, cukes and peppers. Going to finish the evening with a MUWAT KFC....Best of luck...

Well I tried a Tabak Especial Negro several months ago, so I'm trying the Dulce version today. They are pretty damn sweet. Not bad for an occasional change of pace, but I couldn't smoke them all the time. More of a dessert than a smoke...

Leaf Maduro 6X50 don't know if this size has a unique name or not.

Love it!
1st one was a toro, this is a Robusto. Great flavor from beginning to end!
I consider it a medium, great burn (not one touch up), nice aroma. I will definitely try to keep some in my humi.
If you like a more chocolatey flavor, try the Maximus.
But the JC is a really nice smoke.

Very Good, I nubbed it. Beautiful construction but one touch up. It starts with a peculiar mouthfeel unlike anything I've ever experienced. I'll be picking a few up to rest or something!
