I know there are a few Bums who have been using these for a while and I am curious how they are holding up? Any issues?
I am thinking about getting one or two and am curious.

Have had a few issues with mine, namely ignition. For some reason, when in the case, it doesn't want to ignite. Pull the insert out, and magically it works

Thanks Trent. That's strange. Hmmm?

Mine is a Vector Thunderbird, if that's the one you're referring to

Haven't had issue with mine yet, but I've only had it a couple months. Mine is the soft flame version which works differently than the torch version. Basically the gas starts when you open the lid and then you spin the wheel on the flint just like a regular zippo and it lights up no problem.

I went ahead and have a couple heading my way. I got a soft flame and a double torch. I have 2 Zippos from the mid 90's that have never been used. Out of curiosity I looked them up and one sells for $85 now. I guess it was named Collectible of the Year in 1995. The other is a Beatles Let It Be from 1996 and includes a keychain. I guess it's time to put them to use. Both were gifts from my wife and she will be happy when I show them to her with the inserts.

This reminds me that I still need to order one of these. I have a zippo that I rarely use so I have to fill it every time. Much rather have a butane insert.

I think it will be much more useful. Looks like the tanks are a decent size, so it should last a while. Which will depend on how AC/DC I am with toasting ze' foot.
