I don't know why this is, but it seems like sometimes the first cigar I smoke the flavors are muted but if I then light up something immediately afterwards I get a lot more flavor out of it. It's almost like the first cigar wakes up my palate for the next one. It doesn't seem to matter what I smoke first and I never eat or drink anything too flavorful before a cigar as to not wreck my palate. Does this ever happen to you guys? Maybe I'm just a little

I'm kinda funny with the palate myself. This morning's MX2 Dagger was rather muted. But, normally, for me, I lose tastes and aromas with 2nd cigars and on. The Camacho Corojo Maduro churchill yesterday was great, the Triple Maduro last night, not so much

mine depends on what I ate or drank before. some flavors just don't mix well

Pretty much the same for me.

I think my palate is fried. I don't identify flavors in a cigar other than cinnamon a few times. I taste differences but not identiable flavors. I just accept my shortcomings.😎👀

Pretty much where I'm at, can pick up on flavour changes while smoking, rarely can put a name to those.

Time of day, mood, what I ate or drank all dramatically effect how they taste to me. Ive had the same cigars over and over and have learned which ones yo smoke when

Sounds like me!
I get the shifts but can't readily identify most flavors. :(

I've only been smoking for about 7 years, I'm still relatively fresh. So I can still taste things on the first try. But we will see in a few years...

You did say "it doesn't matter what I smoke first". That was a test, you passed.....

I've never been able to discern flavors. It's 'like' or 'don't like' for me. Personally, this is something I don't want to work at. It's intended for enjoyment, so I don't care about describing it! But...that's just me.
