Posted pics in what did you smoke today but after removing the band's, something i always do now i saw a hole where a invader had burrowed in or out? Checked the rest the stash briefly just turning in cellophane without removing anything and saw no signs. No dust anywhere. Lightning took my ac out for a day but no other reason for concern. Wondering if this happened in a shop somewhere and they just froze em. I couldn't toss it. Last melanio so toasted up with the band covering the hole and enjoyed a great smoke. Never would have known otherwise.

Good for you smoking that sucker; just some added protein.

I just uploaded as an attachment. Smoked it down to the end of the nub. Wondering if it would come running out trying to escape the flames haha, but no sign of the invader. No odd nuances or draw. Just a hole in the stick which sealed with the tighter band. Kind of concerned cause the store I bought it at is under new management with an entire new inventory now.

Have you considered freezing you cigars to kill any others that may be lurking? Finding that would have me a little nervous.

Not really but now that you mention it. The thing I'm afraid of is if it will affect the strength/flavor. Most my sticks are already over 2 years old and while good, they aren't nearly as smack you in the face fresh from the box strong. I think the humidor lost a seal during my last move and it was around 55 rh for a week which may have cost me in some oiis or maybe I'm just used to smoking stuff fresh. I am keeping an eye on them. I actually got caught up in endurance sports and naturally quit smoking and buying as much. As a result my humidor has been dwindling, down to 30 sticks now but I hope to refill in a couple months.

You say that you took off the band and saw the hole but it appears the hole is halfway down the cigar.

Yeah, this is a robusto with a double band. I only replaced the band that was covering the hole.
