So, I recently got back on the cigar and pipe bandwagon after a hiatus as I was too involved in dipping Copenhagen for the past few years. I've smoked cigars and pipes for nearly 20 years but dipping really puts a hamper on the enjoyment of smoking, for me. Well, I recently quit, cold turkey! I did this for various reasons but one in particular was so I could get back to smoking. Not having much of an interest in smoking over the years, it seemed to keep me away from here and other cigar buddies/sites as well...but I'm slowly get back on my feet.
What better way to kick this up a notch than to receive such a generous gift, from a great man that has taken notice to me/my absence/and my coming back! That's right, I got home yesterday from work to find our Foyer blown to pieces. The wife...she's not so pleased...about the damage but thankful it wasn't more Copenhagen coupons, so a little grace! In the rubble, I found this box...packed FULL with three serious pouches of pipe tobacco, 5.5 oz. in total!
I am shocked and nearly speechless... AlanS, THANK YOU BROTHER! Thank you.
I have not bought any pipe tobacco in years and thus my little stash is dated (not a bad thing) and some has even spoiled over the time due to my lack of care...so these will be a nice boost to the inventory. A blessing, I might add.
All three of these are new to me and appear to have the strong possibility of being favorites, as I enjoy a pipe daily now. I love anything to do with fire/campfire smoke/fireplace smoke. The first one, "Memories of the Hearth" on initial inspection seems to be something that I'll fall in love with off the bat, with it's strong hint of a fireplace. The "Sweet Oriental" smells wonderful as well with a smoky sweetness. I've always wanted to try the MM line of tobacco as I generally only smoke MM cobs. My favorite style of their pipes is the Country Gentleman and I am excited to try the MMC "Country Gentleman" tobacco! It seems to hold hints of plums and raisins.
As an aromatic lover and any type of pipe tobacco smoker...again, I am excited to try each of these.
I apologize for the long story here but I am just blessed to have received this from Alan.
Thank you Alan!!!
