No specific order yet, but I'm thinking something along the lines of a Dirty rat, Anejo Shark, CAO America for the 4th, and either a Feral Pig or a Padron 1926 Maduro on my birthday Tuesday.

I'm thinking probably a Tat Drac, Anejo 60, Padron 64 maduro...not sure what else, but I'll figure it out before the weekend is done.

I haven't really decided on the entire weekend. I have a Rocky Patel Freedom that's been hanging out in the tupperador for a little over a year, seemed appropriate to smoke while watching fireworks Monday.

TreySC, my dilemma includes a '14 Freedom. I can't decide which is for Monday, and which is for 9/11, that or my '15 Camacho Liberty

That is a tough one. Probably hard to go wrong, but I would lean towards the Freedom and give the Liberty a few more months rest

The 4th is for me an expression of my freedoms, since Im a bit of a activist I believe I should defies that CC ban so Im leanin that way....

For the life of me I can't figure out why some people tailor their smokes around certain days. Is not one day above ground just as good as another? If I decide to smoke something on the 4th - if I don't find myself doing something that precludes smoking - I'll grab something made from tobacco that sounds good at the moment, be it a Don Lugo, Anejo or a bowl of whatever pipe tobacco sounds good at the moment.

To each his own I guess...

Agreed, but with the 4th I think there's an effort to be more American, hence the popularity of CAO America or Camacho Liberty, etc. Smoking a CC on the 4th of July is a bit ironic IMO - celebrating our freedom and independence by smoking a cigar made in Cuba?

i think people pick out smokes because they are traveling or just like to have some order while on "vacation" i know for me i will be smoking a LFD firecracker or M80 Monday night or maybe both!

I'm not sure if there's cigars that are totally grown, aged and rolled in the good old USA, but I'm sure they're available, but my noggin' is at half mast right now as I know there's whiskey made here and totally American. Happy 240th birthday America! I feel so fortunate that my parents had me in the USA! What a stroke of luck!....

I haven't decided yet. I really struggle to pick and plan on what cigar I will smoke ahead of time. I will know when the time comes and I will enjoy it.

The obligatory post that has to be put up every Independence Day...Somewhere in the country sometime today, some fingers are gonna drop...with or without the scooter stick.

Nothing special tonight. One of the better inexpensive maduros I've found.

I'm going to be smoking a CAO America while pounding massive amounts of wine with the family! In the end the night is going to be a weird adult version of Twister. But oh well Happy 4th of July everyone!

While I agree with the Emperor, figured I'd select carefully cigars that best fit the idea of Patriotism for this fourth of July.

The two that met selection requirements best.

Illusione Epernay Le Toureaux.
Quay D' Orsay.

A few minutes and it'll be the fifth of July and will will swing on back to something grown in another country.
