I recently signed up over at the LGC society website since it was free to become a member. To my surprise I received these in the mail today: a metal membership card, a large ring gauge cutter, and a sample of there newest release, the Serie R Esteli maduro. If you're a fan of LGC, I'd definitely recommend signing up.

Did these ship from "General Cigar"? I received a notice that I have a package at the post office with $3.55 postage due and that's the only thing that I could figure it to be.

Gotta be where the term= close but no cigar came from. I could be wrong. If they send me a package and I get that from the PO I'll write a check for it then cancel it when I get home and send the bill to General Cigar. Who would send out a package and then not pay the appropriate shipping?

Yeah, I plan on sending them an email to discuss it once I have the package in hand. I rescheduled delivery for today and my wife will be home to pay for it.

Got my card and cutter too...the seegar musta fell outta the package cuz I couldn't find it anywhere. Glad to have the free stuff though. Didn't have a large rg cutter, so this might come in handy some day. Postage was paid on mine...that's odd that some people had postage due.

No cigar for me either. Mine arrived in a priority small flat rate box with $3.25 postage paid and $3.55 due obviously making up the $6.80 it costs for a sfr. I sent them an email to "help them resolve this issue". We'll see if I at least get a thank you and we're sorry response.

August 5th- No sign of package or email from Vendor. Presently crying in my generic beer with no hope of hearing from these guys.

The gear? Was there some type of confirmation e-mail or something more immediately? I'm concerned it went into junk and got deleted. Never said I was "accepted".
Maybe I'm gonna be just a BUM forever.

Finally got my Membership Package yesterday! I got the card (cooler looking that I thought it'd be) and cutter - but no cigar! :devil:
Still - pretty sweet swag for signup (beats the Montecristo Key Punch I never received....) and they are supposed to be doing some kind of event in the near future, so it's nice to be on the list for that stuff should I wish to partake

In my best Gomer Pyle impersonation---Surprise Surprise! Got my prize in the mail today and no postage due! The cutter looks like it can cut a RG up to 70 and I got a members card with it. I wonder if that will let me into some exotic cigar club somewhere?
