Drew Estate is bringing out a new line, anxious to try Florida Sun Grown. They appear to be larger vitolas than I prefer but definetely peak my interest.

Saw this today. Their Florida Barn Smoker Event is only about an hour from me. I'm going to hopefully make it next month and try these out

I am not a huge fan of DE cigars. But I would like to buy and try one.
AlanS and projectsunfire which of the sizes shown above would you select?
What about other thread readers, which one appeals to you?
I would choose #3.

#3 looks to be the best to taste the wrapper....

The toro is the skinny one at 6x52. Two others at 54 (three if you count the LE one), and one at 60 rg....Prices from 11.50 to 15.00...

Looks interesting. I would check them out.
Will definitely need to look into these; wonder how the climate and soil in Florida will effect the flavor. Preference is the toro.

I'd go toro. Is the one on the far left a box-pressed toro?

That's interesting! I can't wait to see how these check out compared to the competition! Hopefully Florida still has enough latino spice to make the tobacco delicious!

Yessir, it's 6x54. I believe they called it a "trunk pressed" which is new to me?...

trunk pressing is the term used for a larger quantity of box pressing that uses a large press. not as much time is put into the pressing process an the molds are turned less often and these cigars are usually the box pressed cigars that dont have sharp crisp edges. press pressing is a smaller version of trunk pressing that is pressed longer and rotated more creating clean crisp edges.

I thought it was putting a cigar betwixt your butt cheeks and giving it a good squeeze. :D

It certainly sounds interesting, growing up in Florida and still considering it home I definitely want to try it. I'd probably go Toro or robusto, but may have try one of the pressed ones also since it is a slightly different blend and wrapper.

I'd like a smaller size plz.
Probably won't try this until it happens, or I simply come across one. Robusto or Box-Pressed for me. Short Perfecto would be bomb though :handball:
Haven't even tried the UC Shade yet, I'm so far behind this DE Train. Maybe if regulation stops it all I'll catch up sometime - otherwise, nice to see more cigars still coming to market, it's interesting at the very least.

Looking at the picture, and not knowing the sizes, I'd certainly select #3 as the best choice to check out the blend, wrapper to filler/binder etc.
