With my latest wineador build I've been attempting to dial in the RH levels I would like at the desired temps I want. When the wineador is unplugged it stays around 72F, and I have no problems maintaining RH at 65-67%. Whenever I set the wineador to 64F (the highest it will go), the RH drops to around 57%. It's good that the system is obeying the physical laws of the universe, but I'd like to increase that level back to around 65%. The computer fan I've placed in the bottom hasn't done a lot to stabilize the humidity at the lower temps. The drain hole is covered with electrical tape, so there hasn't been any fluctuations due to leaks.
I currently have a half-pound of Heartfelt beads in the wineador. Would I be able to raise my RH by increasing the amount of beads or using KL? I've also purchased an external temperature controller since I'd like to keep the temperature closer to 66-68F. I'm in the process of testing that also, and the initial tests have the wineador at around 59 RH during it's cycles.
