don't know if this is proper area for this but saw a discussion of a petition against FDA regulation on the devil site (Cigar bid) and then somewhere else. it is a petition to the White House to keep the FDA out of our cigars. they are looking for 100,000 signatures and only have 8000 now. figure we need to keep the heat on the FDA to stay away from our smokes. the petition can be found at
petitions.whitehouse.gov

don't know if I inserted that right but you can go there and find the FDA petition and sign it. cant hurt

There seem to be two petitions which are similar.
I suggest signing both, so that signatures don't get divided.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sign these and share them in other forums and Facebook groups you are in!! Now is the time that we need to really stand up and fight or else this will go into effect. If you are on that thinks voicing your opinion will not make a difference NOW is the time to do so. We, the cigar smokers, now know what the FDA wants to do and it is the best time to stand up and let your voice and opinion hear on this issue. look at the number of signatures the e cig one has compared to the cigars. stand up now and be heard PLEASE

Dear Mr. Roy,

Thank you for contacting me regarding H.R. 662, the Traditional Cigar Manufacturing and Small Business Jobs Preservation Act. I appreciate the time you took to contact me.

Rep. Bill Posey (R-FL) introduced H.R. 662 on February 2, 2015. If enacted, the bill would exempt traditional large and premium cigars from regulation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and from user fees assessed on tobacco products by the FDA. This legislation defends niche American small businesses that make premium, hand-rolled cigars in the United States from burdensome regulations and does not apply to cigarettes or "little cigars".

H.R. 662 has been referred to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. I do not serve on this committee. Should the bill come to the House floor for a vote, I will continue my efforts to protect American small businesses from undue government interference.

Thank you again for contacting me and expressing your thoughts on this important issue. Please visit my website at bridenstine.house (http://bridenstine.house). gov to send me another message with your thoughts and opinions, read my positions on major issues, or sign up for my E-Newsletter. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links below. I look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Sincerely,
(signed)
Jim Bridenstine

I've signed at least 4 by now. Let's hope that they make a difference!

I have little faith myself...but I am willing to try whatever I can!
