Ladies and GentleBums,

I submit to you, a quandary that I find myself in. I have completed the Diesel review set. I now come to a fork in the road. Do I take the Montecristo set now, or My Father? I figure Monte to be an Old School blender, i.e. put em away for a few months prior to smoking. But, is DPG a New School blender? Is it ready to go shortly after purchase? Which do I take on first?

Montecristo - the set I have has approximately 7-8 months on, and is theoretically ready.

My Father - my uncle recently purchased his box, giving me the sampler. I estimate they have less than a month on.

I would say that DPG just needs acclimation in my experience.

I was going to suggest Oliva but I see you've limited the options... therefore I have no opinion at this time

Went with the Monte's because of the rest time on them. Have had a few of the MF and time does them well, so I would let them rest for a while for a better review. Just my $.02.

I agree with the Montes. All the MF sticks will be mostly pepper without some rest.

I went with MF. I enjoy them more than Montes. I am a peppery kind of guy.
