The title says it guys. What did you just smoke that you acquired from a generous BOTL.
I'll start us off. Here is a stick I got in a very generous bomb from Horseshoe (formerly known as AuburnGuy on Puff).
A Xikar HC maduro. Very good maduro stick. Thanks again sir.

It was the Cappuccino, right? I thought that was the sweetest of the three. The other two have a richer, darker taste to them, I'd suggest trying them out if you have the chance

Winter is no big deal down here, but the rainy season (4-6" in a day sometimes) is a different story. 3 months in the humi....& we were both ready. I have 9 more of those days covered now. It produced a helluva lot of heavy/ creamy smoke for such a small stick....Very surprised. I'm a big fan now! Thanks again, BT

Well its been a while since anybody posted in this one so I'll resurrect it.
I'm enjoying a PDR Capa Oscura courtesy of droy1958. Very nice maduro stick. Typical maduro sweetness that I love so much.
I think PDR is an underrated brand. They have several different blends that I enjoy. The Oscuro and the Habana Sungrown are good as well.

CAO Maduro l'Anniversaire compliments of Gunther7912.
I swear I've never seen so much smoke come off the foot of a cigar before in my life. And I'm a Liga Privada fan so that's saying something. Love it.
Great flavors too.

Sunday afternoon smoke, late posting as usual I know. Crazy weather while smoking the ciogar on front porch, temp was 75F. but roll on a couple of hours of strong winds...temp felt like very low 60s...read 48F outdoors., Feeling like early March.
The cigar:
My Father Special S...5x50. Courtesy of Cardinal, this Robusto is a Special Event only item, not a regular production smoke.
Is it really special?
If you rate cigars coming from Don Pepin Garcia's My Father factory as amongst the best available, you know the answer.
Could well choose faultless as a one word descriptor for this Special S.
Couldn't ask for better in a Mild to mild/medium smoke. One of the few from DPG in which you may find pepper to be close to nonexistent, 'tis there but darn near unnoticeable.
The Special S burnt perfectly right from the start, flavourful smooth all the way to end as a very wee nub.

Been waiting for a day as nice as this Monday certainly is to smoke this.
Fume D' Amour Lancero...7.5x40.Mine to enjoy,as I am,courtesy of Cardinal (Tim.)
Lighted easily, slight wavy burn line, quickly self corrected quicky to remained sharp until the end.
About six minutes into it the retrohale is near perfect and I'm pretty sure no relight or touch-up will be needed on this slow burning Lancero.
An open draw that yields a lot of good looking blue smoke.
Slow sips and it has taken a goodly amount of time to reach this stage where I'm looking at six inches left to burn on this Nicaraquan hand made beauty from Illusione.
I'm a fairly slow smoker, lit mid afternoon this cigarshows no signs of ending before Sunset.
Once done I can fully understand Tim's saying that the Fume D'Amour is the best cigar he's smoked this year.
My choice in that regard has been the HR by Robiana in any and all the sizes smoked from the brand's Sampler.
The HR's held the top spot for me until now as I've smoked several more of the HR's in the Sublime size.
Now that this Fume D' Amour is finished, after an impressive three hours and eighteen minutes.
I still have the HR ahead,by a whisker as the best/most enjoyable I've smoked this year....however.....that is a mighty short whisker.
Quesdada Reserva Privada and Matilde Renacer are two other's that to date, have impressed a lot.
One final note: Do sip slowly to fully appreciate this flavourful Illusione Fume D' Amour Lancero.
Wish I has a series of photos of this smoke to post here.
But I'm a manual film camera guy, just can't get on with digital.

Waited until I could be sure of uninterrupted time to smoke this. Viaje Oro Fuerza...5x52.
This cigar amply rewarded the wait over the time smoked. A triple band should've been overkill, however they worked stylish not flashy. Removed the orange silken foot warmer prior to using a guillotine cut of the cap then lighted the cigar. By the way the smell of the cigar more than lived up to expectations gained from the brown cellophane (dated 8-24-14)that smell was of fine tobacco with zero ammonia odor. Very sharp burn line, perfect draw right from first puffs, not a hint of harshness when retrohaling. A well constructed medium bodied cigar with a visually attractive wrapper,Habano?. About twenty minutes into it the ash is very firm with little or flaking. A half hour into the cigar the burn line became uneven but after a few minutes self corrected. Needed no touching up or relighting,do like cigars that do not demand that attention after the initial lighting. The ring gauge allowed me to enjoy changes in complexity, tho I can't name those flavours that intertwine nicely with no hint of any abrupt shifts. My thoughts once the cigar's smoked. The Viaje Oro Fuerza is a cigar I'd never light unless I could be certain of uninterrupted time to enjoy the experience. If you can find one with some age,or have the patience to allow the cigar(s)to age before smoking. This is one that qualifies unreservedly as a special occasion smoke.
Enjoyed this fine cigar courtesy of Merovius

Purely as an act of mercy figured it only right to let it rejoin it's buddies, set alight and now enjoying smoking it,fully convinced that a few more of them shall soon find their way into the humidor. Courtesy of Merovius. Lost and found Skin suit...5x50.
Good looking and well constructed Robusto, really nice tobacco smell before lighting, then within just a few minutes realize theres an excellent taste in this cigar, cant name it and tho not overpowering it's certainly there, expect had I beenreally focused would have noticed this right from the start. This cigar smoked at a very even keel, remarkably smooth retrohale. The way a genuinely good cigar should smoke, never bitter, no nicotine blasts nor sticky sweetness, just excellent tobacco all the way till the end after one hour and thirty five minutes.

Illusione Epernay...not certain of the correct name, tho think this may be the Le Elegance , it is a 40 ring gauge.
Very attractive wrapper colour that's enhanced by the very classy band.
Easily lit and a just right draw, some strength makes itself noted on retrohale.
So very nice with good hot coffee and some of the fantastic Marie-France Gaîté 's unique vocals, ah it must be France this night.

Early Friday evening. Recluse Amadeus Habano Reserva...5x54. WNYTONY bombed me with this Robusto, would never have known a Amadeus cigar existed. And would've missed this excellent smoke, excellent draw, never a need to relight or touch up over the two hours and twelve minutes it burned.

Early start on a Sunday. A Flores Gran Reserva Half Corona...3.5x46. As a creature of the Night this is really my last smoke of the evening
One I'd likely never to've had a chance to enjoy smoking other than having been bombed this Half Corona by WNYTONY in the Coffee & Cigars pass, Not an ultra mild one is this, like Rigondeaux it packs punch, and like Rigondeaux thats "Cubanese" at heart.Have a nice cup of hot coffee too, and both are hitting that sweet spot.
May as well add some of Compay Segundo to lend to air of Havana some of the sound of Cuba.

Second smoke of the day. Illusione Epernay Le Toureaux...5.5x56.
Beautifully made Box Pressed cigar I was looking for something with a patriotic connection to this Holiday weekend and its a perfect choice.
Have smoked lllusiones before, three I think, but this one has that something extra that grabs your attention right from the start, tho just how Tobacco hints at Champagne is beyond me,but it does.Aside from a slight wavy burn line right at the start, due my error when lighting up, this cigar held an extremely sharp burn line right to its finish at two hours and fourteen minutes. The Illusione Epernay Le Tourneaux was par of a spectacular bomb from Merovius(Tyler) I'm glad to've smoked this cigar at this time since the weather was near perfect, as this one deserved...Thanks Tyler. Have a great Holiday Weekend.

I've been sitting on this Mystery Lancero for a good month+, but a cold and then allergies have kept me from wanting to light it until I knew my taste buds were back in service. From allusred, hopefully he'll tell me what it is now!
I know that I like it - it's on the milder side, sweet and very smooth. I'd definitely smoke it again, so the only logical conclusion is that it's a Gurkha. Or maybe the trap is that I'll like it, and it's a Gu...never mind.

After seemingly endless hours of muggy sticky weather this excellent cigar that came my way in a Bomb from WNYTONY was in it's way as welcome as a cool breeze. Ninety three degrees on front porch, mostly glass enclosed, heat just builds up ...and that Sun does make it warm, with this amount of heat naturally it's time to smoke a huge volume cigar, yeah, that makes sense. Having some troubles figuring out where I got it from, I took a picture of my winnings from last years bum fundraiser and it's in the picture with those but not in the original listings so best guess is it was a tag along from greige matter that I somehow didn't notice.
