I don't have one of those fancy torches so many of you have. Just a Ronson Jetlite, but scored this in my local grocer today. A small thing, but for a nube...scratching the itch.
I normally have the guys at my former B&M give me courtesy refills on butane, but will checking out of line in my local grocer and I noticed this little gem and priced just right ($2.25 tax included) . Only bottle left (1.48 oz), but a good simple addition to my growing stockpile of cigar accessories. Will hold in reserve on those time I don't want to make the 17 minute drive.
Hey, I'm a newb. Small steps, small victories...also I'm cheap.

Hey, if your lighter is a cheapie why spend more than it's worth on the fancy butane? It'll burn

And nothing wrong with a ronson jetlite...I have one myself, along with a gifted coleman jet lighter. I'm cheap too with he stuff that doesn't matter.

I disagree.
Better quality butane will cause less carbon build up on the ignition and pezo (sp). It's worth the few extra bucks to extend the life of your lighter regardless of the quality.

While I agree with Chewie, in a pinch I have lit a cigar with a bic. Nothing wrong with a cheap lighting solution but I think in the long run quality is what I look for when lighting up a $10 piece of yard waste.

Hey, we have all had to use a Bic once or twice. I'm just disagreeing with the notion that cheap lighters only need cheap butane.
I've seen Ronson's run for YEARS using good Butane.

Yes, but if you can get the lighter itself for under $5, it would be less expensive in the long run to just replace the lighter when it gets clogged up than pay for the better butane.

A Ronson JetLite is $4.50 at WM, typically. A good can of butane is $6-7. So, you're into your lighter for $11.50 at most.
Sure, you can pump it full of junk butane, and keep replacing it, but to say that is more cost effective than doing it right the first time, and buying better quality butane is laughable.

I have a cheapo 3 torch lighter that I picked up on Amazon about 8 months ago. I picked up a big can of the Zippo butane and I personally haven't had any issues with the pair.
I think that some of the fancier lighters work better with the fancy butane.

While out trolling for cuvry redheads, but what did I spy with my little eye, but a cache of Zippo premium butane refill canisters selling for $1.39. Hotcha Mamma, it's true what that say "that you create your own luck!" These canisters were prices .80 less than the single can I bought a few days back ($2.19). I purchased one can and will be taking my previous purchase back. What can I say, I'm a value shopper. Hell, I remember returning a blonde for a brunette when she order a more expensive appetizer once, best decision I ever made.
