Do you use Boveda paks in your humi?
Where do you put them?
I don't have the holder that goes on the lid and am wondering how you folks that use them without the holder place them.
Considering that rH rises, it makes sense to me to put them on the bottom. But then the sticks that are sitting on top of them will suck up that rH (I'm thinking).
Where do you place your Boveda?

Yes I spread them out you can just lay them on or next to cigars and they will be fine

Yep, anywhere is fine. If you use two or more, it is good to spread them out. Depending upon how good the seal is, once equilibrium is met, the entire space should be the same. If you have leaks in your storage unit, then the areas near the leakage, may be slightly more or less than the area directly near the packs with a gradient between. The larger the space, the more this becomes a reality. This is all theory, though. In real life, likely doesn't make much significant difference, unless it is a big leak or a large volume.

Yup I have them randomly dispersed throughout the humidor. I use a lot more of them in my humidor than what the manufacturer lists as a minimum. I figure that allows them to recover from any changes faster and account for any potential leaks if there are some.

As others have said - spread them out and toss them on, in between, or wherever.
I use them in my wineadors (with beads) and they all sit on top of the smokes

what everybody says. I lay them on the smokes and have never seen a difference between the ones with the packs on them and others. Never had a leak in any of packs so far and I recharge them and re-use them without any problems so far

I have a 300 count or so humidor, probably a little over half full. Right now I use three on each level for a total of nine, the humidity in the room is about 17% right now, and this maintains 65% in the box. When the weather breaks, the humidity in the room will rise, and I'll drop it to two per level. No racks, just lay the packs on top of the sticks. No problems for me by doing that. I believe Boveda says the same thing...no harm to the cigars.

I have mine just all over, between boxes, on top of cigars, under cigars, rammed into corners... never a problem. Always put the "drier" ones up top and more gelatinous ones lower, but since I use 65% beads and 62% Boveda, they pretty much never go hard on me- constantly "refilling" from Bead-released moisture

Don't over think it. Just put them where they fit and keep an eye on your hygro for a few days. I used to run them all over my humi, but found beads to be more reliable. They also don't cost you $4 each every few months. I've been using the same beads since 07.

I have been recharging them for years more bang for the buck and use kl and packs as a combo
