I think you guys are contagious. I said 1 or 2 pipes would be plenty for me, I only smoke a bowl every day or 2. Then I saw a nice one on amazon I liked, then my pipe Santa deem fit to add another. Well... Now that I'm getting more and more into the pipe side of things I'm enjoying it more and more. I want to start collecting a few and just wondering where to look for them. I'm always on smokingpipes and 4noggin etc... looking at what they have but I'm cheap and with the CAD being so low compared to the USD I'm looking for good cheap pipes to add to the collection. Ebay? Forums? Yard sales? Where do you find the best deals on new or estate pipes?

Ebay and thrift/antique stores,,look for estate sales rather than just yard sales

The best prices on new Peterson pipes are at Pipe Divan, Premium Peterson Pipe and Pipe Tobacco Specialists (http://www.pipedivan.com/index.php?main_page=index) in Ireland.

I have gotten a couple of nice estate pipes at flea markets, but it's like finding a needle in a haystack around here. Pipe shows are good for estates and artisan pipes but that may be a long trip for you in Canada.

Most of my estate pipes have been bought on Ebay. Another good website is Judds Pens and Pipes (http://juddspensandpipes.com/).

Antique shops for me.

I picked up a nice pre-Republic Peterson billiard in decent shape for only $20 at a local one not long after I started smoking a pipe.
That remains my best deal so far.

I'm not much for driving around looking for pipes, so most come from the bay or a buddy...
