HR Signature Toro 6x52.
Smoked OK but only after needing two relights during the first third. No hard or soft spots, dont think it was too loosely packed, just freaky burn for a while, first one of the HR Signature cigars that didn't maintain a pretty seven burnline once lit.

Couldn't find the blend online, but I think that lancero was much more within my preferred wheelhouse. May have been just the size, but it was much more intense compared to the velvety smooth maduro churchill. Great picks on both, and I really appreciate the chance to check out a mfg I probably would've never had, had it not been given to me.

What are your thoughts on those two Mark?

The BLTC Super Deluxe is excellent! But I am a BLTC / BWS fan. They just seem to match my tastes.
Box worthy.

This was my second H&S.
Very flavorful. The other was a “Traveling Man” which I liked better. It was more complex, buttery, creamy and smooth.

The Master Mason with an Oscuro wrapper was leathery and spicy with cocoa. The wrapper had a slow burn and almost caused some burn issues. Had difficulty keeping it lit; tended to go out if I didn’t pay attention to it. Wrapper issue or that it was adjacent to the humidifier in the humidor at my B&M. This is not an unusual problem with some of the thick Oscuro wrappers.

From the two H&S I’ve tried, they seem to be of high quality; both in construction and in quality of tobaccos. I still have a “Grand Architect” to try. One of my local B&Ms carry the line. I had my eye on a “Shriner” with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.
The “Veiled Prophet” with a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper sounds very good.

I’d like to think I’m not a cigar snob but I know I reflexively turn my nose up at chop filler smokes. Add to that my first experience with a Curly was not fantastic, I didn’t have high hopes for this. I wanted something I didn’t mind chucking if I didn’t want to brave the chill (I know, 40 isn’t cold) anymore. That said... it’s not horrible which for this is probably as good as it’s gonna get.

... I’d take it over a Tat Red Band any day... lol [emoji6]

Not bad I only bought 1 of these years back saw some at decent price trying to find out if I should grab a box. Pretty strong but not wowed by it.

They were definitely at a nice price point and IMO smoked very nice ROTT or with little rest.
I agree that they were more of a med-full to full strength & flavor, but that’s my preference. Surprising to hear that they are still as strong after 9yrs! I have to see if I have any left.

As much as I enjoy the 5 Vegas lines the maduro just never smokes right. Age the crap out of them and you will see no difference. I like the Serie A and Aaa better.

I remember not being particularly “blown away” (yes, shitty pun intended) the first time I had one of these and honestly the first inch had me going down the same path but it’s becoming more enjoyable and smoothing out the farther down I go. I guess I enjoy maddies so much because there is more to them than just raw tobacco flavor and it’s seems like that’s all I can ever pull out of a natural wrapper smoke. Either my palate isn’t discerning enough to pull enjoyable flavors out or they just flat out aren’t my jam. [emoji2369]

.... BUT much better luck tonight than last night so I’ll take my blessings where they are given.

Word to the wise, I let my guard down silly old man I’am. I discovered years ago that opening mail order packages of any kind is best done out side. Received an order yesterday and opened it hurriedly in the house, fortunately I found the hitchhiker that resembled a microscopic brown lady bug. It’s dead outside but I’m a wreck in here

Super busy, super stressful times lately. Decided to unplug, isolate myself and grab a srick. Looked around at all the cigars I've accumulated and decided to go with something from one of my BOTL.

But the construction and flavor isn't what really put this cigar in the great experience category - it was more so that a BUM sent it to me to enjoy.

Really made me appreciate the experience and I'm going to dedicate the next week to smoking sticks from other BOTL.

long, long time ago I smoked some of them along with the usual EMS cigars, then after awhile tried 'em again and couldn't believe that I ever liked Candelas. They were a lot more popular back in he fifties, early sixties, but times and tastes changed I guess, doubt there are many smoking them regularly.As I recall the House Of Windsor cigar were one of the big selling brands around here. Tho not quite up there with Dutch Masters.

A little patience with these LFD perfectos paid off. A couple months nap and no burn issues or exploding wrapper problems like my first one. Glad I picked up a few of these when I had the chance.

This is the only SD stick that’s given me anything less than a stellar experience. Time to give it a shot at redemption.

Update: for those curious, SD is undefeated. Great smoke, no burn issues, just another amazing Southern Draw experience.

Maduro Monday second round.
First time for Me two Maduro wrapper cigars smoked in one Day. Fired up Monday Night, just finished at 12:40 AM.
Esteban Carreas Chupa Cabra Hellcat 6.5x54 Toro Grande in Madurio. Spent a little time just looking at this one before cutting & lighting, flat,wider than thick box pressed, with a pigtail cap and a closed foot.For all the unusual look it impressed with the super easy light and a slow burn, even burnline,lots of smoke,and tho I can't name flavours noted several. Enjoyed this smoke enuff to try to nab moreof them rather than as intended Mr. Brownstone Smack Toros.
