I was instantly curious about this when I saw it at the bottom of a close out bin and it appears I couldn’t wait very long to satisfy my curiosity. I’ve seen and read great things about Illusione so we’re gonna give it a shot. Full disclosure, I have no idea what I’m looking for with light Connecticuts so I have no basis on which to judge this other than base instincts. First quarter to third was meh, but man it opens up in the second half. Huge volumes of smoke, intoxicating aroma, smooth but with punch. I may have to keep a few of these around for morning smokes.

Couldn’t wait. This thing has been on my mind all day. I can never pick up much on the pre light draw but this was giving off gobs of chocolate. Draw is a little tight but the smoke is generous and the aroma is like a dark chocolate cake in the oven. Ember is still building so I’ll see how she develops.

Edit: halfway through and the draw really gets going. Starting to get hints of caramel [emoji897]

Just cut, about to light up...do find cutting along with lighting best done before smoking. Keeping it a sort of Pepin Day with this third one. Then time for some sleep.

The Vegas Cubanas were the first Pepin Garcia cigars I smoked. Was hooked right there & then. Nicaraguan Tobacco, great blends, excellent construction and that touch of pepper Garcia is known for.Heck I just like smoking His cigars.

Cabaiguan. Yeah another Pepin cigar via Tatuaje. No pix yet just got 'em on Friday. Found at 10:48 PM in an open, half destroyed box that had been out there for 10 ~ 11 hours. So for once have resisted temptation to burn one ROTT.

Tatuesday.
Remembered that this is Tat Tuesday.Did a repeat of the Cabaiguan that I smoked on Monday.
This time in early Evening, in the park, not too cold, found a spot out of the wind, to enjoy smoking this Cabaiguan Imperiales, a 7 x 47 Churchill.
Took a fair while to burn down. At this trad size a 7 or 7.5" Churchill with a ring gauge around 47~48~49 isn't too big a step up from a Lancero.
Do have a pix, but natch can't get to post here now.

Late Night, for me, cigar.
First one of these for Me, burnt while out walking couple of miles, listening to the Night. Dark, no LSD aided night vision, didn't notice any other denizen of the dark. The cigar. Illusione Mk Original documents, odd name that. 5.1x42. Nice smoke slow burn, even burn line, good retrohales. Burn time: Seventy Two Minutes.

I try to keep an eye on everyone every couple weeks to make sure nobody is getting funky on me. It may help that I don't fiddle with it much or open the humidor as much. The environment does not change much at all.

I didn't even know what the Pussy Cat was, until the shop guy told me he was getting some in. Googled them - they're a small Opus.

Then something else popped up along with the search. Just replace "Cat" with "Juice" and you'll find a very interesting Opus.

This was a really cool cigar experience from Punch. A value (5-ish bucks) lancero with an exposed foot. I’ve never had one with the binder and filler exposed but it was cool to understand how important and what an integral part the wrapper plays. I won’t lie and say smoking an unwrapped cigar was super enjoyable but I did enjoy experiencing the juxtaposition once the ember made its way to the wrapper.

As for flavor, I’m getting chocolate but a weird kind of chocolate, like opening a box of Coco Pebbles which, I know, isn’t super flattering but it’s the closest thing I could think of and I don’t hate it.

Nice smoke on a cool evening if it weren't for the breeze shifting directions which is annoying it would be better'n OK for this time of year..

Took off work a little early and I’m enjoying some Wednesday afternoon football. Feels weird. This Man O’ War Salomon sampler I got has been very legit. It’s hard for a budget stick to get these kinds of Vitolas correct. They’ve all had great construction and even better flavors. Definitely going to snag some more.
