Gave a day and a half of rest to these since they came in. Don't think they really needed that long before being smoked.

Speaking only for myself, I'd say the over-all profile was nuts with an underlying bitterness. There were hints of subtle sweetness, especially at first but diminishing in frequency and intensity until the 3/3 when any sweetness was replaced by a toxic nuttiness. It never did go out on me but there were times I almost wished it would, in the off-chance that it might have changed the overall profile... Never tried another one...

Haven't seen Gran Habano posted here much or if at all. How's the brand?

Not bad. I think the Gran Habano are a middle of the road, every day line with this Blue in Green tending more toward lower premium. As a Connecticut, it was pretty good. More flavor than many connies I’ve tried. Good burn all the way through.

Monday Afternoon smoke. Crowned Heads Las Mareas Tuberia 4.5x48. Fairly certain I've smoked one of this brand/line not too long ago, but it was quite likely a larger cigar. This one has a really nice looking wrapper and the smell from both head and foot of the cigar is nice, simple, as many puros are wont to be. Easy light, good amount of smoke, and ( a big plus ) darn near razor sharp burn line, slow long burning esp for the size. Was surprised at the quality and enjoyment. Burned cool all the way until the last half inch. Got five of these in on Sunday Morning, already thinking to get more of them. No pix, yet.

Sorry I'm so late replying to Your post. The Vegas Cubanas were the first cigars(varied sizes) the Coronas being My Favourite, from Don Pepin Garcia that I smoked.
Then the line was discontinued, I missed them,wondered why they'd been dropped then when the line reappeared,figured they would have been changed a lot. But seem to Me very much the same. Enjoyed reading Your description of the flavours and overall take on the cigar. You may well be right on the money.
I can not pick up the subtle notes that many other smokers 'get' do sometimes sense some but can't put a name to them.
Memories of certain cigars, drinks,etc,etc I feel are often enhanced by the times and or locations, settings in which the cigars were smoked, drinks consumed.

*A little side note, here in the middle (yeah that makes sense.) the two worse cigars that I've tried to smoke all the way were #1. The most expensive Cuban that's come My way, a gift around forty years ago #2. A cigar from a brand of Garcia/My Fathers.

No intention to smoke this cigar, somehow took it out of the Humidor,tho I had a smaller cigar in mind. Did not want to put it back in the Humidor and glad I didn't.
Had to let it rest in ashtray for a while before going back to relight, don't like pausing and not smoking a cigar to the end once started. But this long thin one burned so dang well after the break.Should wait an our or so longer before lighting the last cigar of the night to avoid any break while smoking. More fool I with this nitpicking...happy to have a decent cigar to enjoy of a night.

Fired up right at 2:30 PM Friday Afternoon. This cigar was cut,lit then smoked right on down to a minuscule Nub. It was that good.Haven't smoked more than a few Connecticut wrapped cigars recently and most of those disappointed. Not so this Joya De Nicaragua Antano CT. Think it is around 5.25 or 5.3 x 46 Corona Gorda. Smoke output was good the line was sharp start to finish, easy to like this cigar.
Joya De Nicaragua Antano CT (one of the pair in the center of the pix below)smoked three and three quarter hours after it arrived in this great Bomb from ALAN S. (AKA The Shadow.)
The Burn time was: An Hour and Fifty Nine Minutes. Nice easy smooth retrohale and cool burn all the way.

Honestly it had two things going against it from the minute I set fire to it. It was still rott’ish, and it was pouring rain outside and humid. This unfortunately led to several relights, which can kill the flavor for me. I should have know better then to try it, but lesson learned. I’ll wait a while and give another a try, and hopefully have a much better experience.

Yes I do, and if it’s only one or two relights, it isn’t too bad. After that it starts to muddy the flavor profile for me.

Once again catching up. Smoked Sunday Night this fine cigar from the BOMB sent to Me by ALAN S. Glad for the chance to smoke this new one from My Father cigars. The size for me is perfect. Taking time to relax with a cigar allows the chance to savour the taste and aroma of the tobaccos,tho I cant name the subtleties do enjoy them.They are present in this cigar for sure. Didn't *get* the usual pepper that I associate with a cigar blended by Don Pepin Garcia,this cigar reminds me of those Cubans made for the European market. Haven't smoked the Quai D Orsay cigars since the recent changes to the blend but remember those and some cigars from the Canary Islands that smoked a lot like this Fonseca made by My Father cigars.Anyway can't really say yesterday's cigar was "just like" one smoked 60 - 70 years ago. Memory, mine at least, doesn't work that precisely. I just smoke cigars. Can't review them. Can however say that I really enjoyed smoking this beauty.

Wet Monday Evening smoke.
Fox Maduro Toro 6x52. Long burning,plenty of smoke, no need for touch up or relight.Not complicated, just good baccy, and that is not bad. Not big on Maduro wrapped cigars but this was one I enjoyed smoking and would do again. Thanks MATT @ chain_gang.

I'm not a big fan of Rocky Patel. To many past issues with burning inconsistences, profile changes that weren't good, etc. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Good burn and profile was solid. Will definitely be picking up a fiver to keep in the humi.

You too eh? I've smoked a few RPs where I enjoyed the flavor but can seldom get them to burn right. I'm sure it's partly my fault what with smoking a pipe mostly and being more used very light draws but I can smoke other cigars without having the Rocky burning problems, even out in the wind.

The Decade Cameroon burns good for me. And I've had good luck with the 55; both times at the lounge where rH is higher than I keep mine. But the 55 is a nice RP stick.

Wednesday Evening while watching soccer and football practices in the park.
Serino Wayfarer Dalia 6.75x43. Excellent cigar only had to light it and enjoy, not clouds of heavy smoke, light smoke, long solid light gray ash,smooth retrohale that increased the strength for the second half. Think the burn time was close to an hour and forty minutes. Thanks ALAN S for the sending me two of these smokes in a bomb. Looking forwards to smoking the remaining three from the bomb.
