Celebrating tonight with one of the best, GOTF, some 1792 whisky, and Flavor Odyssey. They’re talking two of my faves tonight—rye whisky and corojo wrapped cigars.

Saturday.
Smoked on this very damp/wet Day. Needed three relights. Something I really hate having to do, and the reason I think this one needed the relights is that it spent about seven hours sans cellophane, in high humidity (74-78 degrees) prior to being lit.

Was hot here today too. Pleasantly hot for the task at hand... which was floating in a tube while drinking a 'Blood Orange and Honey' lager and smoking a HDM Epicure. Burnt 3 cigars over the weekend and a few bowls of pipe tobacco. (All in my newly customised Dagner cob, which she weathered like a champ with nary a gurgle) Must be some kind of record for me for a non-hunting setting. Pipes suck for tubing btw. Wet hands do not make for easy tamping and relighting.

The Laranja is AMAZING, this one was a new size for me, I usually go with the box press. But it was still quite good. Lots of orange peel to it. There are very few Espinosa sticks that I don't like.

Rocky has several very good blends. He's definitely quantity over quality, but the Decade, Royale and 15th Anniversary are all top notch. The Royale was actually a top-5 cigar back in 2014....so I'm not totally crazy. Don't judge a book by its cover--you'll miss out on a lot of great cigars.

Rocky has several very good blends. He's definitely quantity over quality, but the Decade, Royale and 15th Anniversary are all top notch. The Royale was actually a top-5 cigar back in 2014....so I'm not totally crazy. Don't judge a book by its cover--you'll miss out on a lot of great cigars.

I agree. The decade is one of my go to sticks

Joe and I had this uncanny ability to draw each other for every form of cigar swap; Didn't matter if it was a piff, blind draw swap, gambling payout - you name it. And that doesnt include the times we bombed each other willingly!

We shared a fondness for several of the same brands and had no shame in letting anyone know when we liked something from the bottom shelf.

After a long rest, almost 24 Hours, smoked this My Father No.4 Lancero 7.5x38.

The reason for the long rest was that ten of these had been sitting out in the direct Sunlight for four hours before I knew they'd been delivered, even the box was hot to the touch.Anyway that time spent in the heat seems not to have done any harm.

It was nice to get a glimpse of the new closer from S. Korea. Striking out the side in the 9th was a great showing. The Cards looked pretty sharp in that game. I'm excited! Cardinal baseball is the highlight of my day during the season. I've gotta figure out what I'm gonna smoke for Friday's game.

Smoked a couple Thompson 'exclusives' (read: yard gar at best) while making a few deliveries this morning. Well, to say that I actually smoked them is a bit misleading. I attempted to smoke them until the burn issues became unbearable, then chucked them. Strange, the first few I had out of the bundle weren't bad but every other one has been tasteless and all but fireproof. Bought them ages ago - smoking them to get rid of them.
