Is that a Unico Especial La Colmena?

Now that you mention it, I don’t know. Those are stated as 5x48. This was definitely 6” - did they make one that was a standard torpedo size?

Second one of the night is this underrated stud. I feel like when Rocky actually wants to make a good cigar, he delivers beautifully. If this were a blind taste test, I’d guess a ‘64 Padron Natural. Seriously. Blows my mind each time.

Nice smoke. Excellent finish where I got most of the flavor. Burned perfect (surprising for a shop stored cigar).
But didn't hold the ash for shyte!

The 6" is the Reina sold by Small Batch Cigars and it is excellent

Something celebratory is in order. I heard back yesterday, and I start my new fulltime job a week from today. It is a big step forward in regaining some stability in this situation! So, a little splurge on the new CAO Orellana [emoji16]

As a result there's a ton of good sticks that go untouched, and therefore I use it as my remote humidor. They're safer there than at my place.

So I went for an old standby and this El Centurian is delivering. So good. Thinking of my late grandfather today, who fought in the Pacific Theater as medic. He was only 17 years old...

Not at all. Needed to buy something to smoke in the lounge and wanted to try something new. It wasn't bad at all, just remember the original Basin being better. Been a while since I smoked one though so I could be full of chit :idunno:

I don't think they'll ever match the original release. Even the '17 Basin was slightly less than original, to me anyway. I think I'd put Orellana on par with '17 Basin, and ahead of Anaconda and Fuma Em Corda. Not to make any less of any of those offerings, just that that '14 was MAGIC

Trent, as hard as it is, you have to keep your head up and just grind my man. Don't worry about next week or next month. Just take care of today as best you can and then get up and doing it again tomorrow. Think of it as a time to work on you and a chance to come out of it all in a better place in every aspect of life. This afternoon I had a 6.5X52 Tatuaje Conjonu "12" Habano Toro cigar.:stogie: This cigar has been resting in my 65% rh humidor since 12/2018. I got a box of these cigars a year ago but have not taken the time to smoke one until today. I was first attracted to this cigar by its Habano wrapper in conjunction with Tatuaje's nickaraguan tobaccos.:wave: After lighting this cigar I got pepper and spice in a lightly creamy base. At the half point of this cigar the flavors changed with the pepper decreasing somewhat and the appearance of cedar, dark coffee and wonderful earthiness.:thumb: The construction of this cigar was very good with excellent draw, no difficult veins and delicious complex flavors. I topped off this smoke with two large cups of hot coffee and I had a wonderful rainy afternoon!:santa:
