Barba purple smoked on 05 jube...Smoke time...An Hour and Twenty Five Minutes. One real nice Lancero.
Trocadero, likely on June sixth, not sure of smoking time.

D Day smoke...have always tried to smoke something "special" on this day.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m a bandwagon Blues fan. I’ve always been a Baseball/Football guy. But this run has been magical. So I broke out a 2014 Padron 1964 Maduro for the win. Maybe the best cigar I’ve ever smoked? Might be the excitement. LGB!!!!

Just finishing off a lovely Graycliff that I started before dinner on the way home from the bureaucrat cage fights :) Not sure what it is, too lazy to search for it. Has a purple or blue background on the band. The important thing is the recipe for Bruck's Everything is Relative Margarita (which I cobbed from a restaurant that no longer exists and am happy to share here) that I'm currently drinking:

2 cups whiskey sour mix (not margarita mix, that's for tourists)
1 cup cheap tequila (not the good stuff - it's too smooth) Cuervo Gold is ideal
1/4 cup triple sec
splash of rose's sweetened lime juice
serve chilled
don't try to drive home :)

1 of the last smokes I had before I got into cigars was a perdomo. Now I know they don't have a great reputation they can be a pretty good smoke. Now I have not had any of the Texas edition but I know this stick is more of a marketing ploy than good cigar. All sorts of liqour stores have them even when they know nothing about cigars. Also for this reason I would probably steer clear of the Texas Monty that's out there. They have some decent sticks out there but depending on selection may have better options.

D Day smoke...have always tried to smoke something "special" on this day.

It is a cigar made for the cigar bar. All I know is that it was made for the previous owner so I’m not sure if they’ll be getting more.

I wouldn’t say it’s fantastic but it is rather good. I’ve bought a couple so far and will get more. It’s listed as something like a $7-8 smoke, but I’m given a 25% discount. It’s certainly worth that price to me.

I see you had the short robusto tonight cheaphumidors I looked this up to see what the sizes are and that looked like my jam at 48. I have double robusto and it's a 54 which is normally outside my wheelhouse but with this box press I don't mind it at all.

I hate to say it, but these are tasting their best at more than two years. I think it’s rare that extra long rest ever really makes a cigar better, but this is the first box I’ve had personally for this long. Every cigar is different, but these are definitely better with 2+ years of rest.

Went outside last night with another AB American Classic, which I’ve always felt has been the absolute best smoke for $5. Not this time. The construction was very poor. It felt as though they were saving pennies and only used 2/3 the filler as usual as it was very loose. I was shocked.

I'm not sure how to answer - this stick was not under packed, but I dont think it was very young judging by the cello. How long has line AB line been out?It's been out for a while (mid 90s I think). They made a splash a few years back with the original Prensado, (which won cigar of the year) and the sudden increase in popularity/demand was the worst thing that could have happen to them. They expanded too quick and quality went straight down, with underfilled and spongy cigars across all their lines. It was sad to see because I'm a big fan of Alan and what he was trying to do. I've been trying a few here and the, but always with the same issues. I think the only one I've like has been the Coyol, but was just wondering (not just from you) if anyone had notice an increase in quality with them. I've been tempted to give then another try, starting with the one you had.

It was quite good, I'm glad I have another one to smoke sometime when I'm not on the golf course and can give it a little more attention. But it was good enough that I'm sorry I didn't grab a few at the Orgy at CI.

Had my first candella on Monday. Thanks again to everyone who directed me to which I should try first. I decided to go with the Illusione 88 Candela, very different smoking experience. I see what people mean by grassy notes, this was rott so green (pun intended) so it will be nice to see how they are in a couple months.

Olancho and the Cigar Dojo 200th episode. They’re good guys and are still good for some fun every once and while. These Olanchos are hit or miss in my experience. This one is hitting pretty nicely.

Outside and chose this Partagas. Not too thrilled though as there’s a tight spot making a good draw hard. I’ve cut 1/2 to 3/4” off and it’s still and issue. Also the burn wasn’t even, though it has settled itself out now:

I have only tried two Warped sticks, this one and Guardian of the farm. Both are very good, with the Cloud Hopper pulling into the lead. It just has a "buttery" good flavor profile. Gonna have to get more of these and try some of their other offerings asap.

Had some burn issues with this one, the first inch or so tunneled badly. Then it started to burn correctly until the final third which would not stay lit. There were several soft spots, so I am hoping it was just a one time thing. When it was smoking correctly it was of course great.
