nothing so far today just watching my ears smoke as my Ravens have let 3 starters from defense go away in free agency. Dont know how some teams can keep a team together for years but Ravens let players go away every year.

On bright side, after 2 days in the 20s and a inch of snow last Thursday, actually managed to get in 2 smokes on the weekend. A La madrina from Dapper and a Jas Sum Kral. both new to me with about a month rest . Different from what I usually smoke but both were pretty good. Worth another buy at some time

As promised, Tony, I smoked the Dos Hombres first thing when I got home yesterday. Surprisingly not a bad flavor profile (a little pepper, some cream, and a bit of sweetness none of the grassy/papery flavor I was expecting) but the burn was all wonky and the draw didn't produce much smoke. But hey, it was good enough that I smoked it to the very end.

Had a Roma Craft Cromagnon at my B&M.
Then later had a Padron 3000 at home with my nephews (who were smoking Padron 1964s, courtesy of me). We were having a baby shower for their ladies since both are expecting and I gave them something a little nicer. It was a great time.

I've smoked the non-green ones they've sent in the Care Package and they are pretty good but wasn't about to tackle that big green hulk !
barry2guys is a good dude and he hooks me up with my Tat TAA and Angel's Anvil every year, but he hasn't been around in a while.
I was just watching one of the podcasts and he drank a raw egg without adding any alcohol and he didn't throw up - impressive.
Maybe if we call out barry2guys a few times he'll show up.

Tried out something a little different today. A generous brother elsewhere sent me this stick from Ezra Zion that is called a naked roll - it had no wrapper leaf. It looked very odd and I expected it (a) to explode as I was smoking it and (b) not be a very good smoke with out the benefit of a wrapper leaf.
It was actually a very tasty smoke and it stayed together just fine all the way down to the nub. Ugly looking thing though..

Tried out something a little different today. A generous brother elsewhere sent me this stick from Ezra Zion that is called a naked roll - it had no wrapper leaf. It looked very odd and I expected it (a) to explode as I was smoking it and (b) not be a very good smoke with out the benefit of a wrapper leaf.
It was actually a very tasty smoke and it stayed together just fine all the way down to the nub. Ugly looking thing though..

What did you think of this cigar. I occasionally see them at a local head shop with a great humidor, ironic I know but I got to imagine the owner loves cigars as much as paying the bills. I have really enjoyed them. The head Hunter was hands down best cigar I've smoked this year sentimentality aside. Thank you again.

For me it kicked off with a spice that subdued to a strong cedar profile. It was a really nice change up.

A yellow cello’d Mason Dixon North from 2014. From the Tombstone sale. Told you I’d get into these quick. I can easily say this is the best cigar I’ve smoked this year. The long rest hasn’t taken away any of the strength or pepper. These are a Crowned Heads limited edition made at the My Father factory. This is insanely good. Tastes like a steak covered in A-1. I’d be interested to know if anyone else has these lying around. I’d surely buy them off you. The three I bought from Ryan aren’t enough!

I sampled the Sun Grown and aside from the cracks in the wrapper it was pretty good for a more values smoke.

Smelled awesome in the pre-light and I was thinking it was a Crowned Heads stick (Las Calaveras or Court Reserve), but the burn was a not a typical CH burn and the taste was not there and it left me confused. In the end I couldn't settle on anything else so I went with my initial thought.

Wife went to some plant show today so I pulled another jhedrick83 today and headed to the shop for cigars and hoops !

First up - Herrera Esteli Lonsdale they had in the sale section, clearing them out

I honestly was planning on leaving at this point, really I was.... but the shop owner, who is a partner in Jenneff Cigars with a friend of mine, wanted me to try out a new line they will be introducing called Grand Entry. I sampled the Sun Grown and aside from the cracks in the wrapper it was pretty good for a more values smoke.

One more. Can’t say enough about these Oscuro Fuertes. It’s nice to see a marca use the term fuerte and it finally be true. Spicy chocolate with cream and sugar. Lots of strength. $2 on CBid. I’d smoke this over many boutiques I’ve had.

Well, we have our first fail during Kayla week ! In all honesty I may have caused it, but a fail is a fail.
I distinctly requested a Sunday cigar that would HELP my golf game. I got to play (for the first time this year) today so I grabbed that MasterBlend 3 she sent me for the Sunday stick and off to the course I went.

It did NOT help my golf game.
True, it was an excellent cigar, but I played lousy while smoking it and started immediately playing better after it was done :banghead:
I did grab it a day early not knowing if I'd be playing on Sunday so maybe I was partially to blame but this one wasn't as advertised cheaphumidors lol
I will be giving you a shot at redemption tomorrow. Rain is holding off and we are planning on playing and I have another stick in my humi that you gifted to me that I have patiently waiting to get out on the golf course !

Now this Saturday Night Special is flippin fantastic ! Had never seen or heard of this little beauty before but it is excellent.

Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd mix. He’s only 5 months and he’s 40 pounds. Doubt he’ll get to be as big as a full-bred Pyrenees, but he’ll be a big boy.

That is because the cigar is SO good you can't focus on anything else. Totally should have sent a dog rocket so you could keep your mind on the game!
