This Monday Afternoon/Evening. San Cristobal Seleccion Del Sol Fireplug...5.1x42. One very, very nice smoke.
Watched a good sized Fox walking down the street, ignoring the cars traveling in both directions, just like a fella out for an afternoon stroll, which I guess is just what he was and was doing. Couldn't hear him whistling, but he sure did look relaxed.

I got a bundle on cbid for like 25 bucks in February. They were decent fresh, but a completely different cigar now. If you can bury them in the humi for 6 months or so I say go for it.

Good idea keep an eye on them once see that one is missng, then next time two more are gone, you'll know Smokin Monkey's burning them and it's time you did the same.

Yessir Arafat. You done did screwed up my plan for trappin' the cookin' banana eatin' smokin' monkey for some much needed help in the kitchen tomorrow. Of course, you go blow off your soup coolers never thinkin' bout' the consequences of what I now have to do to keep the woman happy for Thanksgivin' anne such. By the way, this cigar is awesome. Kind of started like it wanted to beat me up in a dark alley (I couldn't even breathe there was so much pepper), but it mellowed out very quickly and very nicely. Is that a Reconqusita- pre second band?

One of my favs, highly underated/unknown.

Those are great smokes. This particular stick had a much lighter wrapper than the Reconquista’s habano Oscura. And a totally different profile. Came in a Bomb awhile back so not exactly sure what this. Good but not great with tons of pepper.

I liked it. It made a good morning stick, but I prefer the depth and strength of the original Maduro. Now I just have to try the sungrown!

On Wednesday I enjoyed this Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Robusto Maduro that WNYTONY sent, really nice stick. This and the Decade are my favorite RP cigars so far.

Tonight I decided to give another new one a try (new to me) I have really liked every Drew Estate cigar I have had, so I had been curious about this one for a little while now. I really liked it, and suspect a few months in the humi will make it shine if I can keep my grubby hands off them that long.

Another new one for me c/o an early Bday present from my wife.
I have been trying to branch out from maduros a bit more lately, since I have established I like them a lot. I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, especially after the pre light draw, but I would hate to miss out on a great stick because of wrapper "tunnel vision"

It was somewhat peppery for the first 15min or so. Slowly the pepper backed off some and gave way to cream, leather, a hint of coco sweetness, coffee, and nuts. Really nice looking cigar, with a near perfect draw and IMHO a solid medium body.

Sunday's cigar. San Cristobal Revelation Mystic Corona...5.6x48. Wake up, get up, drink coffee and repair to front porch to do a bit of reading and smoke
this Sumatra clad lovely from Do Jose Pepin Garcia. By the time the cigars was but a butt and ashes, too dark to carry on reading. Know I woke at 3 PM so figure it may be getting dark earlier now a days.

Went with a Triple for Maduro Monday.
I have been wanting to try a Camacho for a while now, I see a lot of you post and enjoy them (just didn't know which one to try first). This cigar is one that after the first 15min I wished I had more then a 5'er to start with. Going to take some willpower not to blow through them, great stick!

This afternoon I had a 4.5X50 My Father Le Bijou 1922 Petite Robusto cigar.:stogie: This cigar has been resting in my 65% rh humidor since May of 2016. This cigar came with a sample pack of My Fathers cigars. After lighting this cigar I got creamy pepper, oil rich chocolate, and a delicious earthy aged tobacco.:thumb: This cigar was medium to full, very densely packed and yet the draw was excellent. I did experience about 1/2 inch of tunneling at the half way point,:bawling: but after that the cigar corrected itself and the smoke was enjoyable. Even though this is a small cigar in length my smoke time was 11/2 hours. I topped off this smoke with a large cup of hot coffee and I had a good afternoon.:wave:

Hi Moe,
Just read this post, as always enjoyed reading when you post here.
Even more so since you mention the long smoking time from a relatively short cigar.
Something I've experienced fairly often an puzzed over how some small ones burn far longer than expected.
My best guess, when something like a short robusto burns longer than a well made toro, is that it's down to the roller.

I have to agree, my wife and I ended up watching it in 2 days, just couldn't wait for the next one. I really liked the flow and direction it took, I just hope it won't take as long for another chapter to come out.

Found this one from WNYTONY and decided to give my first Quesada a try. I am not sure if you had it resting for a while Tony, or they are just that darn good. Very very tasty stick, hated to see it end.

Wednesday Afternoon Cigar. L F D Andalusian Bull...6.5x64. One very big cigar from the Dominican Republic by way of my good buddy Alan S. who sent it to me as a Birthday present, a couple of months ago. Kept it in my humidor until now waiting for the right time and mood. Extremely easy light and a nice open draw.With the first few puffs 'something' was right there, maybe a bit of pepper or spice that oddly was not present on the retrohale at the time. After about twenty five minutes the strength seemed to reach medium/full and stay there before moving up a bit towards the end. Only rarely can I pick up on a flavour note that Id risk trying to name. This cigar is one of three that tasted,to me,like black cherry. The burn line got a bit uneven around the forty five minute mark,quick touch up with a match then very sharp all the way to the finish. The spice or pepper note seemed to fade then returm on the retrohale over the last half of the cigar.The ash was rather flaky,tho not too bad. Retrohale was never harsh. A thoroughly enjoyable large cigar,thanks for your much appreciated gift Alan.

Thursday Afternoon smoke. Liga Undercrown Gran Toro...6x52. Little too cool on front porch while burning this one, but not quite cold nuff to make me dig out the little heater I use. This looks as if it might be on the strong side, but falls in the mid to upper medium range, good even burn, nice retrohale...good cigar on this Pearl Harbour day,

Friday the 18th. Flores y Rodriquez Canonazo Maduro...6.75x58. Oddly smoking some oversizef cigar of late. Must amend that "trying to smoke" lit this one up then had to put iot down and get a few things done, two hours later relit...and of all things it's burning cooler and milder..wot? Last three quarters stayed like this.Guess I'll have to try another of these, but not until I've had a few smaller ones.

Two Hours of snow...two Hours of smoke...makes sense to me.With some Dead for the ears, alls OK.
If the weather forecast is correct we'll be seeing some of the same on Saturday.

I finally grabbed a Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 Consul, played another stop on the Dead's Europe '72 tour and poured some freshly ground hot coffee.

That was no Cake Walk lol I love the Eastern Standard line - Cream Crush, Euro Express, Marble House but this one seemed stronger. Honestly I never got used to the shape either so that may have affected my opinion. It was that small end ! I was told it was a special event cigar so I'm not sure what availability is but I'm fine with that and I'll stick with the others in the line. Don't mean to sway you so by all means give it a shot but not my thing.

Glad to see you enjoying the Four Kicks and yes the BBB is every bit as good. You say you need some ?????
