First Barber Pole ever for me. JNV Barber Pole Toro...6x50. After an extensive rest, about 50 minutes, took this one out the humidor prior to lighting, as is my usual procedure. Lit easily and smoked without any need of a relight or touch up, something I do appreciate . Lot of tobacco, the Barber Pole wrapper is in addition to being very well done an attractive eye catching feature, but it's a well crafted cigar and good tobacco. Nice even burn line. Now I di have to put the cigar for twenty two minutes, the relight got it going and it was a good smoke start to finish. Smoked on front porch on this rather cool, chilly? day. I'm no good at naming flvours. But plan on smoking the second on these soon, yup it'll not be long. for now I'd put this, at a light medium, not the slightest hint of bitterness and it certainly is an excellent value for $ cigar.
A big thanks to Omahaorange (Russ) who so very kindly sent me the Duo of the JNV barber Poles ...and a Rancho Luna Robusto...An,and a Machete, 6.5x at least 54 Ring Gauge, maybe 55 or 56, both fine looking cigars and both new to me.....I've some smoking to do in the very near future, again thanks much Russ.

Burn time: An hour and 49 minutes, no pix this time, hopefully will have one when the second of the JNV Barber Poles is smoked.

The Gran Vida is purportedly an RP blend made exclusively for Emerson Cigar in Virginia Beach. It's a pretty good smoke, similar to the Edge, but not quite the nicotine bomb.

Excellent smoke. Great burn and lots of smoke - dare I say quite like a Liga ? Just don't smoke it on an empty stomach - 'tis a man's cigar !

A much deserved cigar after an extra long day. My oldest turned 16 Thursday and the plan was to have a suprise party today. His friends were supposed to keep him busy, but that fell through. So that job landed on me which wouldn't normally be a big deal, but it was opening day of baseball for youngest. I just happen to be head coach for his team. After a rough start we pulled out a 16-7 win, and we kept arthur occupied long enough to pull off the suprise. After all that I finally have time to relax with this Prensado thanks to Ciro

Courtesy of Omahaorange. Rancho Luna...5x50. Smoked this afternoonHadn't even heard of this line until being Bombed this Robusto and three other Cigars by Russ, Omahaorange.
Previously I've smoked one of a pair of the JNV Toro size Barber Poles. An easy light and even burn,sixteen minutes in and the hash has held for an inch. At about the half way mark there's a bit of an up tick in strength, and this level holds all the way to the end. Not smoked too quickly an there's only a wee bit of increased heat near the end. It's a good ciga

Burn time: Fifty eight minutes.

I scored some on cbid for cheap. Don't think I ever saw them on there again. Its a shame because I just looked at what vendors sell them for and there's no way I'm paying that much!

This Snowy Wednesday afternoon. Oliva Serie V Liga Especial Lancero...7x38. Courtesy of WNYTONY. An very enjoyable Smoke on a Cold,Windy & more, still more Snow on not quite Spring like day. Smoking this excellent Serie V even brought out some Sunshine while Snow continued to accumulate.

It is called the Stage V Clinger. It was sent to me by the manufacturer to see if we want to start carrying these. The back is magnetic so it can just cling to the chair (or anything else metal). It also has that Velcro strap for things that aren't metal.

Right you are ! Was so focused with grabbing a Warped and posting a picture I called it by the wrong name and even took the wrong stick out of my list !
They are excellent smokes - just wish they were a little more wallet friendly. I love the size, suits me perfectly. allusred introduced me to these a while back and I'd recommend you try it if you haven't. Now to figure out where that Corto is......

Tonight's offering is my first La Gran Llave in the robusto (Photobucket is not cooperating again...)
Really liking this cigar and the box press. Would love to see it in a little smaller size than a 54 but I can handle it once in a while.

At one Minute to Midnight. Dunhill.............. Will figure out size and perhaps the name of this Cigar.May well have been a sudden peak in the insanity level that led me to this one that I figured would be much like smoking air, now just eight minutes and a few puffs it seems a bit above the Mildly Mild level.Nice sharp burn line and sure is burning very slowly. Not a lot of taste tho, and what there is is kinda dry. Cigar's not at all had or dried out, just the right amount of give to it. More smoke coming thru, draw seems to've opened up a tad.Seventeen minutes gone and about three quarters of an inch of ash, that looks 'soft' but is holding on.Writing so much because expected this to be a dud. Is it? Taste wise, maybe...but that may well be no pepper to note, Don Pepin Garcia stuff leave expecting pepper from every thing that burns. Ash ready to depart so gave that an assist to play it safe, even tho not smoking nekkid ala Dog Rockets. Ain't ever found an Amazing cigar, leaves Amazing for Sunsets an other Purty sights, don't s'pose most would find this Dunhill what ever it's called to be "that cigar.' But it's not atall bad. Good looker too,construction's first rate. Sure a slow burner,thirty five minutes gone now and there's a whole lot of it yet to burn.Only taste I'm getting is that dry note, maybe cedar, might've been cedar lining in that tube, but it's been out of that for about two weeks now,hasn't picked up any thing else lying in the Humidor. No flavour changes so far kind of a one note thing in that respect. Smooth cool on the retrohale.Still at the Mild level after fifty two minutes.Would like to see some change of taste come along if it's going to burn for an hour more. An hour gone, lot of tobacco left here. Scary idea, if driving could be half way to the site of His Excellency Sir. Dog Rocket's Cigarfest & Orgy II by now. Might not call this boring, but sure glad I'm not a slow smoker.Adding a can of Coke, cause it's still a bit too dry for me.One thing's certain, I'll not be smoking the second one theses back to back.If this Cigar doesn't go by the name Churchill, it should.....
No heat showing, I'll put this Dunhill down with an inch left. That's it for me.

The connecticut one he puts out. The last third was pretty harsh and would not stay lit. I don't know that I would ever buy any as I remember the maduro version not being particularly good either. To bad as well. I'd like to support the guy as they are rolled by him for the Nice Ash stores but both have been too lack luster to make me want to pick more up.

Alex Bradley New York robusto. This is the first cigar I really fell in love with when I got back into smoking cigars. Haven't had one in quite awhile and I still really enjoy this cigar. Glad I bought a few boxes when they discontinued them.

Mine either really, I didn't even know they had a box press until Last week. They had a rep at an even I went to, he said all the blends were the same except for the addition of broadleaf to the filler or binder I forget which.

Was my first from this brand... Wish I could tell you but the wrapper blew up at the head and made getting a good draw near impossible so had to put it down.. Barely got through the first third but did enjoy the initial flavors ... Was a gift but can see myself buying another to give it another go.

HC Maduro Black. Given to me by a fellow BOTL. Quite surprised at how good it is. I really like the Habano 2 of this series with 1/2 a years rest. Had this stick a few months and it's performing flawlessly. Very deep chocolate tobacco great burn line, an enjoyable stick!

When i googled for reviews to my surprise our very own Kayla @ cheaphumidors was one of the reviewers. Nice right up and spot on for the profile. Although the draw on this stick is perfect, being the only difference.

2 hours later (I feel a little like allusred here, of course that's just a petite corona time for him) and I'm getting close to the end.
First time with this brand and I'm thinking my buddy Reno tried to kill me ! Between the massive size and the kick this one almost did it.

You must have been rushing, puffing way to fast, bet you were done that Cigar before Sun up.
Correction, just noted the time of your post, so unless you started watching at about Four PM, having finished that large Cigar before Midnight is near suicidal.

Sometimes it does take me a fairly decent time to smoke a Cigar once it's lit, but seldom any longer than the time spent puzzling over which end to light.
Reno's only trying to ensure that you'll be in tip top shape prior to the Cigarfest & Orgy II.

open foot, attractive wrapper. Easy light and a just right easy draw, plenty of smoke. Pretty much impossible for me to name flavours in a Cigar I'm smoking. Do notice them,but can't put a name to them. This is one of those cigars you have to allow time to smoke, then it's lean back relax and enjoy.

I think it's a nice smoke.

My initial impression is that it was a good smoke. The draw was good, really no harsh spots, very consistent from start to finish. I picked up some notes that to me were somewhat "dark roast coffee", I am eager to try another.

A new blend (for me) from Ole Shenandoah Appalachian Berry. I didn't think I was going to like it at first. I have to admit though, this was surprisingly tasty. It was a quick trip to the store so I didn't feel like digging for my Dagner Poker. Instead I used a small cob.

It was for sure. Found a new lounge around my way. The selection is out of control. All the sticks I've been wanting to try I'm sure they have. Over 3,000 open boxes. The walls and floors are absolutely full. With a massive selection of Boutique sticks.

That smoke was superb. I'm not the best at describing flavor profiles, but that one was exceptional.

Very mild, paired well with that IPA.

Interesting as I've only found the Zudzu to pair well with an IPA. I've smoked an Avo Classic which overwhelmed the hop flavors. I've been considering trying a mild smoke as these are, well, overly mild and not my thing on it's own. Maybe I should try an XO.

Trying this Rough Rider Sweets from the Cigar Authority Care package. Part of Indian Head cigars.
That sweet cap is a little freaky but other than that it's not too bad for being such a cheap stick.
