Actually made to the Cigar Inn last night!
Had a San Cristobal Ovation. Wasn't too impressed like the rest of the line. 😔
Maybe it was too much going on. I'll give it another shot in the future.
The I had a T52. Still one of my favorite Ligas.
😕 no pics. But it did happen!

Forgot about this one that I smoked very early this morning, or very late last night. Anyway, before Sun up Saturday.
Flor De Seva No.15...5.5x54. Either the col on the front porch or my lack of sleep kept me from picking up on any flavour changes, so it was simply a nice Mild cigar
Burn time close to an hour and three quarters.

In a word AWESOME. The picture is the double corona. Ive had the churchill but the corona hits the spot. Very full bodied perfect amount of spice. The smoke is rich and thick plus the retro really brings the spices. Very hard for me to explain what the flavors are but it all works great!!
Not a cheap gar but you should definitely try a fiver.

Smoking a second one of these. AKA Hybrid ABS...6x44. After an added three days of rest this Lonsdale is burning nicely.
Think the odd taste of the first one I tried may've been due to the cigars not having time to recover from the time in transit in cold weather.
So not bad value at the low price paid for them.

Monday, Monday's Cigar. OPUS X Perfecxion No5. Courtesy of my extraordinarily generous Secret Santa,Sean the Evans.
Pretty certain I've had two of the Opus in the past.
Still the Perfecxion No.5 is a new size for me, one that's right in the 'Corona range."
Thus a top choice in terms of Length and Ring Gauge for me.
Smoked this beauty on my front porch on a cold but windless day so able really enjoy the smoke.
Can easily see the Opus X Perfecxion No.5 being the top choice for a whole lot of smokers who're like a Corona.
Can't think of any cigar that better fits it's descriptive name
Thanks once again Sean for the trio of these to enjoy smoking.

While smoking some steaks and pork it seemed fitting to smoke a Southern Draw Kudzu, and which was designed with hoppy beers in mind, while I drank a few pale ales from Alaskan:

Very fine smoke right there.

Courtesy of my secret Santa, SeanTheEvans. Amdalusian Bull...6.5x60. A Unique cigar, the unusual shape is but the start. Imposing at first sight, had me expecting potent start, but after an easy light , found it it an an easy to get on with cigar about medium in terms of strength, well constructed of course with an easy draw, absolutely not a hint of bitterness on the retrohale from start to finish. Smoked down to the last three inches, and I'm looking at a large cigar yet to smoke. Yes it is a good cigar. that Corojo wrapper works beautifully with selected fillers to provide an extremely smooth smoking experience start to finish.
Burn time, two hours and eighteen minutes.
It's the cigar in the center, sorry don't have a pix of the Andalusian Bull alone.

For years I used tinypic.com. Easy. But I began having issues with popups claiming I won some ridiculous prize. And for some odd reason it would do something that kept me from being able to post on one gun forum. So I opened an account on photobucket.com. It's a bit of work in comparison but it does store your pics if you care to have them.

You could always come down to Texas. Not much snow the once in a dozen years we may get some. I hardly ever bust out my coat. A heavy enough jacket usually does just fine. The high today was an unusual mid 70's here with the low in the 40's.

A necessary evil in the winter time around here. I'd much rather smoke outdoors while walking (preferably on a golf course somewhere) sitting out and relaxing or whatever. And you get alot more of that in your neck of the woods than we do.
You get in alot of hiking and that would be an awesome way to enjoy a good smoke imo
But all it takes is a compromising wife and and a few modifications to one of the rooms in your house and you're there.

I'm not so sure a 110 cfm fan would be enough if you are trying to draw out cigar smoke. Those typical bathroom vents are about worthless for what they are intended for and would need more like a 110 just for a tiny bathroom.

I found one ventilation fan that moves 434cfm, plus I run an Oreck air purifier and heat in there too. In a pinch I can crack a door or window for more air too. At $400 and up these do a great job.

Midday Monday. La Imperiosa Magicos...4.5x52. Wet and Windy, the weather. If not for the boost in temp provided by a heater it would've been madness to smoke on the front porch. The La Imperiosa despite its being a Magicos didn't have that sort of magic. Last one of these I had. Some replacements are on the way. The La Imperiosa are pretty decent smokes.
Burn time: one hour and thirty five minutes.

Kristoff San Andreas bought about 3 weeks ago at local B&M, first one I have had, think I will give another one a try or one of their other lines. pretty good
I purchased a ten pack sampler of theirs a year or so ago and enjoyed them all. The Brittania was like a chocolate bar to me. Just never got around to getting more of them as I can only smoke so many.....

Seriously becoming a go to gar for myself. I've enjoyed a bunch at the lounge, but this one has been in my storage around a month at 65% and the difference is dramatic. Full body awesome amount of chocolate and medium spice. Some other flavors i can't quite figure out.
Another month or two on the others ive stockpiled should be about perfect IMO.

Asked WNYTONY which smokes I had left from what he recently sent me would likely pair well with Laphroaig 10. Though he wasn't sure he pointed out a couple that were stronger (and some he felt were the best, which I decided to let ride on their own) and chose the Diesel. Apparently he felt I needed a bit more hair on my chest. Unfortunately it was pretty strong and now I look like a Sasquatch! I'll need to find a local sheep farm to get sheared!
Actually it started off pretty stout and a look of doubt and fear no doubt crossed my face, but it smoothed out nicely fairly quick. And I'd have to say it seemed to go well enough as neither took the front seat but stood well on their own.
It did actually put me down for a bit. My tolerance has faltered over the last few months.

There's the Michigan winter cigar smoker's pose. Kicked back, feet up, smoking in the garage. You're missing the gratuitous background heater though. Like this:
Heisenberg tonight, if only I could keep the thing burning.

This is my go to all the time stick! I order in bulk when I can. I started out with these when I first started smoking and just assumed every cigar was that strong so now I am used to them. But I get a kick out of giving them to my non smoking friends, it gives them a real dose of N.

I most certainly enjoyed it. It smoked so smoothly and deceitfully for a strong smoke. And it actually didn't make me nauseous as others have, but it did daze me for sure.
Maybe I'll need to devise a discreet filtration system that reduces nicotine by 20% so I can hang!

They put chemicals to make you need them so I quit giving my money to them and went on to these that are not only less nasty, but aren't quite as frowned upon by the masses all depending. Tried American Spirits and my body didn't get the fix it wanted leaving me wanting to smoke another. I stayed strong and after just 3 days I cut my intake in half!
They took so much money from me for about 25 years I can only imagine what I could buy with it!
Marlboro had me smoking no less than 2 packs a day. I didn't want my daughter growing up around that.

I tried one of those bummed from an acquaintance years ago when a bunch of us were hanging out together. No idea what kind it was but I'm sure it was whatever the cool people smoked back then. I never inhaled the thing, I'd seen other n00bs do that and cough their guts out, plus I never liked getting a lungfull of smoke from a campfire so it made sense that the best place for smoke was not in my lungs. I still remember the taste: pretty much all I could taste was the burning paper and it left a nasty taste in my mouth for 3 days after. I never considered taking up cigarettes as a habit. Glad I didn't.

Tombstone. Very enjoyable. Humidity a bit to high since it was a B&M purchase. Overall a good smoke. About a year since my last one. A tricky blend for me to name the flavor's. Not a lot of spice which was a nice change from my usual cigar choices. Very creamy is my best description lol. Gonna try a few of the diffrent offerings soon!

I get them when he does them. He's not doing as many as he used to, but he's still there.
Since I've been smoking regularly for the past 3-4 years, he & I seem to have very similar palates.
I was surprised the other day he trashed the San Cristobal Quintessence after seeing so many good things said about it!

That's the only SC that I haven't had. Love the Elegancia & Classic lines, haven't had the Revelation in a while but remember enjoying it despite its size. The Ovation is the only one I've had that I didn't really care for, but it was at a lounge and probably too wet for comfort. I may buy one or two & let them get to 65% & try it again.

Hi Brian, Like you I've smoked and liked most of the San Cristobals. Just read the review you mentioned. Noticed Katman didn't like the Del Sol. The Del Sol Fireplug was one that I really did like, wish it was still made.
Top of the regular S.C.'s *for me* are the Guajiro. That Del Sol fireplug next. The Revelation Mystic. Then the Elegancia Corona. With the Quintessence in the next spot. Katman said in that review that flavours are hard to detect/isolate. Tho I may be aware of changes, can't put a name to them. If it's a good cigar, one I enjoy smoking...good nuff for me. Have only had one Don Pepin Garcia that I hated. It's a line that many like, and like a lot. However the one I tried to smoke was so bloody bad I'll never light up another of that Brand. Haven't had the Ovation.
No "this is the best..." from me,just a bit on the ones mentioned.
Pepin makes Cigars that I do like to smoke. Or,maybe I just like pepper.
Cheers,
Bob.

I agree about DPG!
I can't think of one that I do not like! Like I said about the Ovation, it may just have been due to it being from the lounge vs me keeping my stock at 65% - 67%.
I too notice the change in flavors, but don't ask me to name them either!

With you 100 percent. Those you mention are outstanding. One of his first brands, a milder one, I would put as my #1 D.P.G. smoke, natch can't recall the name right now. Kinda funny how some who don't like the pepper swear that its all there is to Garcia's cigars.

Monday's Cigar. Crux Ninfamaniac Natural...7x33. Haven't smoked a lot of these, but every one I do smoke impresses me a bit more.
Lots of flavour changes going on, lots of smoke, even burn, no need of relights or touch ups, very nice on the retrohale...just one durn good cigar.
Know that Ring Gauge seems rather small...but for this cigar, it ain't small atall...it's just right
.Ok, my 'alf Pence worth...an YMMV.
Burn time: One hour and twenty eight minutes.

I have a few other Crux, but none of the Nimfamaniac. Gonna have to find some.

Wonderful, as per usual with La Aroma de Cuba. I had never had the Churchill size before, it was great, perfect draw, lots of flavor

Oliva El Cobre one of the most unusual tasting cigars IMO but very good! They come bundled and need a lot of rest. But if ya got the patience as always you'll be rewarded.

After reading the "what happened to all the Liga posts thread" I just lit up an L40. Man what a disappointment. Damn thing won't stay burning. I have had to relight 3 times in the first 1/8 inch. And on top of that the draw is as loose as possible. Completely unsmokeable. Not what I expect from a $15 cigar. Think I'm officially done with LPs

How old was it?
No excuse for a $15 cigar, but like someone else said in the Liga thread (was that you?), they smoke better fresh.
I guess I better get to smoking the ones I have!!

Yes I did say that. Which is why I never buy boxes of them. This one was 2 months old at the most. I will have to say it is the first LP I recall ever being bad.

I wonder if you just got a lemon? I've seen a lot of people online have that in their top unico list. Unfortunately at that price it's tough to give something another chance.

I am hoping that is the case. I have had many of these before. I usually buy 3-5 at a time. Usually is a safe number to get & smoke before they start losing their zing. Still...for what they charge for these damn things you expect all of them to be close to perfect.
