Long day, lots of hours with out a cigar.Just, a few minutes ago,lit a LFD Chapter One, that looks to more than make up for the smoking time missed today.
Unusual shape it is the box press that makes this cigar a bit less daunting than it's dimensions suggest.
At 7x58 there's a lot of tobacco here Now off to make up for lost time.

Got my wife a Christmas present that made her cry ( for joy) so that was good.
Watched the Ravens beat the Steelers on Sunday. I know they had a bad season but with some good draft picks, we will be back next year.

I'm not sure which one it is; it doesn't have anything on it other than CAO. It has been in my humidor for a little over 2 years and I like it a lot. It is a medium strength smoke and is burning very evenly.

I finally got around to smoking this AJ Fernandez New World robusto I've had in the humi for a few weeks. Started off very spicy and a little over halfway in settled into a nice medium body...The sweet spot didn't last long enough for me and I ended up chucking it not too long after. I think some age would round out this cigar and the sweet spot would be longer.

Smoking as well as ever age not hurting these, do like the long,slow and even burning cigar that does not require relighting and/or touching up.

Decided to smoke these three Don Pepin Garcia made cigars to get an idea of how alike, or unalike they are.
The three are Coronas, one of my longtime favourite size.

Hard to see in this photo but the wrappers are quite different on each of the three cigars.
Today's smoke was the Talavera Edicion Exclusiva 2015...5.6x46 Almost razor sharp burn line,no need to touch up or relight,
solid ash tapped off at about an inch and a quarter,very,very nice retrohale, total smoking time one hour and forty minutes.

Warped Flor Del Valle Las Brumas...4.5x48 Think this is my thirty-ninth of this brand/size,to date all have smoked well, construction solidly dependable. Really, is there any reason any one wishing to sell their brand of cigars would ship cigars that did not at least have good construction ? That, I think should be a given. Good smokes these are too.

Fuente Friday, this is a 46 from 2013. It's smoothed out some and lost a little flavor and punch. Not sure if I liked em better fresh or after the nap, but either way it was good.

Originally started with an AB Prensado but it tasted off and couldn't get it burning well at all so I put it out and grabbed this Man O War Ruination. First one I've had, pretty good little stick, not a ton of flavor...found it a bit spicy. FANTASTIC burn...this puppy ran like a train, awesome smoke output and burn line never wavered.

While watching some NFL footy...Grimalkin Robusto...5x50. Followed that with a pair of L'atelier Travalleurs...4.5x38 as a two stage Lancero that were real nice, even if they failed to get the win in a game in the rain...football that looked like the game should ,no lid over the field.A good day.

So far I still love it.

I also agree with the sentiment from JollyRogers.
I am liking the 1926 more and more, but I'm still not sure if that liking has surpassed the 1964.
Right on the border now, leaning towards 1964.
I have grown to LOVE the 1926 though.

First cigar of the Morn, first from the box. Room 1201 Master Collection Two Roxxo Corona...4x48 When first lit an odd taste noted,cant put a name to it tho, and it's quickly gone.
Retrohaling leaves little doubt that it's not going to be a Mild Mild cigar.Why Corona? Rothschild would seem a better fit for this seeming, for me,bulky cigar. Might this be a Süleymanoğlu?Time will answer that question for me. Must keep an eye on the results board.
Ash just hangs on and on.
