My son began kindergarten this week. When both of my children were born, I purchased Fuente Toast Across America coffins (2001 & 2013) with the intention of smoking one when they began school, and one when they graduated. So tonight I burn down a 2011 TAA Julius Caesar in honor of my oldest beginning his formal education. God has blessed our family in so many ways, and one has been this smart, polite, and sweet young man.

Having eaten a bowl of Pam's taco soup, I mix a bowl of kidney bean salad, for tomorrow night. It's better with time. One shelf down are two pork chops, in a coating of Island Voodoo rub ( Sweet Cigars ). Since the outside temp has dropped to 87, matching the humidity, I light the tiki torches. Thankful that the time is right, I light this impressive Brohiba 29N from The House of Bruck.

Saturdays first. Don Pepin Garcia Grimalkin Torpedo...6.5x52. One of my all time favourites from Pepin, sadly no longer made by My Father cigars, but age has certainly not diminished the flavour/complexity at all ,on the contrary the cigar is moking better than ever. Too bleeding hot to smoke on front porch, so it's the air con indoors, while watching some of today's Rio Olympic Games. Right about at the halfway point now, and it is good.

Last June I had an order from famous smoke that I pulled out the sticks I ordered. well I'm packing for the last trip to Idaho, I find this box there's a cigar in it all wrapped up in cellophane and little ziplock baggie.

Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro Epicure. When they say a "gentle box press" they really mean gentle! I want my edges! Also, definitely should have let it rest a bit. It was WAY too moist and had a lot of trouble keeping it lit. Probably didn't help that I was smoking in the middle of a rain storm. I took so many photos last night but only two turned out because my lense kept fogging up!

This afternoon I had a 6X52 H. Upmann Legacy Toro cigar.:stogie: This cigar has been resting in my 65% rh humidor since 5-25-2016. This cigar had a beautiful brown oily wrapper with a nice prelight tobacco smell.:wave: After lighting this cigar I got this very creamy slightly sweet wood with a tinge of pepper. The construction of this cigar was excellent with no problem veins, excellent draw and very good burn with no touchups.:santa: This cigar had ample smoke output with good old delicious tobacco flavor. This cigar was not complex but yielded delicious straight forward tobacco flavor. I topped off this smoke with a large hot cup of coffee and my afternoon was enjoyable.:fly:

This afternoon. Talavera Edicion Exclusiva 2015 Corona...5.6x46. Only a few of these My father cigars left, this one had a change or shift in flavour that I'd not noticed in those smoked before can't say what it was, but there was something "new" happening. Wrappers on these cigars are really great, smoke time was two hours and twenty one minutes.
Smoked on front porch before the rain started, humidity and temp matching at 76 & 76 then 77 & 77, two cups of good hot coffee enjoyed along with the smoke, too lazy to fetch a third cup, should've done so, that was good coffee.

It is a business management course called "Managing People and Organizations". The degree requires 3 or 4 business courses. It's pretty boring. I could never be a business major, as it just does not interest me at all.

I'll give you the really short version:

To build truly high performance teams, you need to start with proper recruiting. Investing in top talent pays off, big time. Make sure your team is diverse (not just a group of the SAME people). Once you have assembled a solid, strong team; give them clear and concise direction. Then LEAVE THEM ALONE!

Be available when needed and re-direct the team if needed. Allowing a team to be mostly autonomous is where you will see the largest payoffs.

Have a clear cut hierarchy in the organization. It's never a good thing when people have multiple bosses giving them conflicting goals and directives.

You could kinda tell it had been pushed out the door before its time, due to the FDA stuff. There was flavor there but it was pretty muted. I think a few more months will help these out a lot. I'll pick up some of the broadleaf too. And the Tabernacle. And about twenty other things. :stogie:

Afore Noon cigar today. Hawaiian Vintage Series Kauai Cigar Co. This was a "take" from the Coffee & Cigar Pass. Well constructed cigar, no soft or hard spots and a good burn line, two cups of hot coffee enjoyed while smoking, the cigar's burn time was an hour and thirty three minutes.

Smoking a "Private Stock" cigar from Famous Smoke Shop. It has been aging for over 6 years and it tastes pretty good. I didn't realize it when I bought these that they are medium filler cigars.
