This one gave me some burn fits. Only one side wanted to burn. It had been in my travel humidor since last week when we went to Colorado. I had removed the humidity packs upon my return 3-4 days prior to smoking. I'm thinking the direct contact with Bovedas may have contributed to a lopsided burn on one side.

Once lit started out fine but after a couple of minutes the burn went wonky , two touch ups did not improve this and the burn only sharpened up for the last third.

Habano Wrapper.
Pepin Garcia revival of the cigar line He made for Nestor Miranda some Year ago.
This was the third of a fiver smoked, and it smoked very well indeed, sharp, not razor sharp but sharp nuff, good smoke production and 'tasty.'
Burn time: An hour and Twenty One Minutes.
Would like these in a Corona size with around a 44 -46 ring Guage, but will most likely pick up some more of the these Nestor Mirandas in one of the available sizes.

Friday Afternoon smoke.
DBL Formula by Francisco Almonte Petit Corona 5.25x44.
Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed maduro wrapper.
Just got a box of these this afternoon so an easy choice to light up and puff.
Have smoked couple boxes of these in the past, liked them a lot. Forgot that they're full bodied smoked did remember the pepper which I like and was glad to see is still a feature of these cigars.
The size is one like a lot along with the first rate construction, or as My Buddy Smokin' Monkey sez "Top Branch." High praise from a fella who really his way around those places.
Burn time: One Hour and Thirty Two Minutes. Not bad for a cigar this size. Don't know why it took Me so long to get back to smoking these Dominican gems.
No pix yet, hopefully over the Weekend.

It's the luck of the draw, or lack of the draw with those shapes, not easy to roll and sometime one will not smoke too well. Don't have proper draw tool which might've fixed problem.
And it's the DBL cigars from Franciso Alamonte that I like.Cigar King has most or all the DBL lines

yesterday found a HVC Black Friday 21 lurking and smoked him. This was a really fine smoke, wish I had more or they had made this a regular production

I was looking at Smoke In where I bought some black fridays earlieir this year and they said 21 but they were about 4 and half by 54. The one I smoked last night was about a 5 and half by 46 so maybe I bought it in 21 but might have been a 2020 version. ? Don t know but it was good

Started this one this eve. It was giving me hollow cheeks trying to get a draw. Tried using a draw tool, but seemed like all I could pull out was like chopped leaf. I could tell when I cut it, felt very firm in the head. The cross section looked solid. Gave up less than an inch in. Too bad, had nice flavors of black coffee and leather for the little smoke I could get.

Switched to an Ezra Zion Bees Knees, Dark Honey. That is exactly what it tasted like for the first third. Very sweet, but not in an unnatural way.

Boxes are undated but the brown Cellophane indicates that the Cigars weren't rolled last week.

So I bought a corona sampler of some of the Cigar Page cheapies and today I tried the first few

BDL box pressed maduro corona - this one goes down as a Nope. Construction wasn't great and it wasn't my thing

had to come back with a good cigar - Killer Bee for the back side

later this afternoon - I burnt the BDL Connecticut traditional round corona. Better all the way around. It gets a pretty good but I'm not running out to buy more
