I don’t typically post many of the farm rolled I smoke.

This one struck me as particularly good. Wish I knew more about it. Not sure how long I’ve had it. Usually the accompanying information sheets or card have an issue date (month, year). This one didn’t. By eliminating the ones I know for sure, guessing from about 1 year ago or so.

Perfect burn and draw. Described as Pepper, Leather, Earth, Chocolate, Espresso.

I definitely got all of that except leather, with emphasis on chocolate, espresso, and sweetness.

I’ve had many well known brands costing 3x as much that weren’t near this good.

Has Fuente quit Anejos? I haven’t seen them ship boxes for a few years.

This was at my local, they just received a large assortment last month (no Sharks, though). He said he’s expecting more soon, maybe this week. Is Xtra Viejo same as Añejo? Añejo still listed on AF site, pictured as Xtra Viejo boxes.

My Father Early Friday Afternoon.
Been smoking these "New to Me" cigars for three or so weeks and posting here without pix.

Don Pepin Garca's latest iteration of His Vegas Cubanas Coronas same size as the original 5.5x44.
I recall reading one time prior to the release of this "New" one that waould be the 'same cigar' but with updated bands and boxes.
Didn't see the sense in that move, why change if You're not changing ?
Not too long after that it was said that the blend would be tweaked/changed ...but the Cigar would remain the same.
How's that ? Like the Cat becoming a Butterfly, or a Shark changing into an Antelope ?
Going in I knew it would not be the same Cigar and it isn't. Now I don't get all the nuances, subtle changes that occur while smoking a Cigar.
The first thing I did notice was something is missing in this new version of the Vegas Cubanas.
Ok, tho I don't smoke either the Cigar Band or Box I just don't see either of those changes as better or nicer.
Something has been changed in the blend. can't review a Cigar, just don't get the Flavours and changes.

Good question Brian. However I don't or can' t pick-up on any subtle changes in the blend.
Something IS missing in this new blend. Not much of an explanation I know but having smoked five of them over twelve Days that is what stands out for Me.
The blend has changed for sure. You'd only have to smoke one to notice that.
I've no idea what the changes are, they certainly do not smoke the same as the older vegas Cubanas.
It may well be that I am the sole person in the cigar smoking Universe who doesn't find the new blend to be better.
Garcia's cigars , any brand are pretty consistent over all the sizes, so You'd only need to smoke one or two of this new blend to determine if they would be a box worthy buy.
Guess I've smoked a fair number of the My Father ~ Pepin Garcia made Cigars With just two brands I don't like, and one I flat out hate.
Should at least mention that the "New" Vegas Cubanas are well constructed, even and slow burning. And do come in at a decent price.
Hope You and Your Family had a very Happy Christmas and will enjoy a Great New Year.
