Thanks for the update Kayla. I’m glad you dodged the worst. The weather people on TV are hilariously creative in their attempt to tell the story of the storm. I know many folks were badly affected and I feel for them. Makes me wonder why anyone would live really close to the coast. Playing the odds I guess.

Good long burntime One Hour and Fifty Seven Minutes. Do like Sumatra Wrappers,but the Sumatra wrapper 'note' was almost impossible to pick up.Now I do not get most of the flavour notes that,seemingly the majority do.
There are Sumatra wrappers,and Sumatra wrappers some way better'n others.Also there are some Sumatras that are every bit as smooth as the Cameroon.My guess is that large amount of other tobaccos in this size Cigar overwhelmed the Sumatra.

People might say the same for us in tornado alley, that ‘could’ also contend with a blizzard, or extreme drought, or extended rains/flooding. It is very much a game of playing the odds, enjoying it for what we know, hoping these events are infrequent and far between, which they are.

I agree. I CAN’T STAND watching the networks and their weather reports about how horrible everything is. TWC is the WORST!
Using extreme graphics and hyperbole to exaggerate everything.
cheaphumidors Kayla So glad you fared for the better. Prayers for those that did not, and for most of the events like flooded roads, it is temporary and probably soon forgotten.

Sent from my iPad using TapatalkActually, the super cheap, off brands in CI's Po Boy Sampler II really haven't been bad at all. They are certainly not great, but for the price still taste good and if you have to pitch one like I did today due to the monthly fire drill, you won't be upset about it.

I'm not recommending them by any means, but they work for me given my current circumstances, so I'm satisfied with them.

I still have plenty of very good Cigars, these just went into my daily smokes bin, so these are what I've been smoking for my morning cigar after a couple bowls from my pipe.

Thanks for checking in on them, Alan! They started school about three weeks ago (5th and 6th grade) and both have straight As so far. Aiden is turning 13 in two weeks and we are doing a big, overnight group trip to Universal Studios, so they are looking forward to that. They are both such incredible kids, they are trudging along with far more grace than the rest of us. 🥹

Yesterday I was driving to Kansas to pick up some Fried Chicken for our supper from a place that sits in the country that has been open and making fried chicken for 93 years and business is still booming. I smoked a My Father Garcia & Garcia on my way over and loved it. Ashamedly I can’t thank the brother that bombed me with this beauty, soi just say thank you to all of you guys and doll. I love you all!

And a special thanks to Nature for identifying this cigar. I didn’t know exactly what it was. Thanks Mark!!

been lurking and not posting much lately. My little head and world have been full of things lately. Did I post that we were buying a house and not trying to rebuild? I think I did but not sure.

Anyway some of my recent smokes have been AJ Bellas Artes maduro and Aganorsa Validicion Habano and maduro. Those Aganorsa have been smoking pretty good and I think I like the habano over the maduro which is a surprise since I like maduros. Been picking up the Aganorsa at my local B&M my last few trips.

Dias de Gloria while relaxing after a busy busy weekend that isn’t finished! Then we fly out to Cleveland tomorrow with a 6am flight, I am already exhausted.

Aiden’s birthday went great, and we all had a blast. But I went on the Velocicoaster at Universal Studios and ended up puking in a trash can in line for the next ride in front of a crap ton of people and I was blocking the line and people had to go around me and it was super embarrassing [emoji15] but totally worth it for the joy on Aiden’s face when I said I would go on the roller coaster with him, and it was an amazing coaster and super fun
