Good start to the day. However only a few of the Vegas cubanas left. Best order more.

If you look closely, it's slightly bent, hanging to left. Noticed it after lighting, and I don't think it arrived like that when I purchased it. No big deal - it's smoking like a champ.

Black Works Studio HYENA Lonsdale 6.5x42.
Wrapper African Cameroon.
Binder Nicaraguan Habano.
Filler Nicaraguan.
High quality construction all the way, well packed, neither too firm nor too soft.
Easy light sharp burnline with only very slight,self correcting waviness. Lots of flavour though out the smoking time.
Burntime: One Hour and Twenty Six Minutes. Absolutely one the best Lonsdales I've smoked over the last Five or more Years.
And I do like Lonsdales, they're much like ' lil bit longer, lil bit bigger' Corona, smoke bit longer giving You that "extra" time to enjoy the quality the blender meant You to find and Savour.
Thanks Mark Nature for sending Me this fine Cigar to enjoy.

It is 280 acres, divided into woods, pastures, and fields. It was a working dairy farm until 20 years ago when my grandfather retired. Now he rents out the fields and pastures so there are usually calves grazing, except this year which was too dry for livestock.

Thanks Bob! It was a true afternoon delight.

Initially pretty peppery on the retrohale. Toward the end of the first third, it really smoothed out. Creamy & nutty. The spice was still there, but it took a step back.

I couldn’t help to notice the similarities in appearance to another cigar in my humidor, the Rojas Reserve Guayacan. Similar color theme, shape, the crown, and same size, too. No relation, I don’t think.

Initially pretty peppery on the retrohale. Toward the end of the first third, it really smoothed out. Creamy & nutty. The spice was still there, but it took a step back.

Interesting looking and feeling cigar for sure. Cool oversized band artwork and minimalist secondary band. A bit darker for a CT wrapper so I didn't realize it was until I googled the cigar. Also, a bit beefier-feeling than a standard lancero.

She's tasting pretty good. Much more of a nuttier CT rather than creamy. Nice retrohales with lots of smoke. A heavy clump of ash made a nice thump on the ground.

Arturo Fuente Don Carlos No.3

While an excellent smoke as always with a Don Carlos, I've realized from smoking the 5.5x44 No.3's, that I prefer the Robusto better. Longer smoke time for longer enjoyment of the Don Carlos deliciousness, and a bit smoother, especially in the last 3rd.

Staple? You are a beast!Oh come on, it's not that bad!? A little pepper kiss never hurt anyone. Although I do remember the first one I tried confused the heck out of me, I had just eaten tacos and I'm known for heavy doses of homemade hot sauce. For a good 20 minutes, I thought somehow the sauce I ate in those tacos reactivated itself during the smoke. Took me that long to realize it was a spice cap, never even knew it was a thing.

This is a nice "change of pace" kinda cigar. It's definitely something that's growing my interest the further I smoke, not that there was a point I didn't find it enjoyable. It's a bit of a faster-pace cigar, and not a slow-burner (which I am a fan of), so finding the groove of the burn-tempo has been a bit of a challenge.

I don't normally think about wanting a nice adult beverage while I'm smoking, but this one is telling me I need something to swish around the goodness in my mouth, and that something shouldn't be water. I don't think it should be a cocktail, but rather something straight. I don't know what it would be, but this cigar is talking to me, and there'll definitely be a good drink to pair with next time.

This month’s club pack is Sushi themed.
They certainly get creative with their artwork and cigar names. Honestly something I could do without. I guess it does add some interest, flair, and mystique to the marketing scheme.

The darkened cello indicates that it does have some age.

The description states “chocolate granola” for the body and foot. I don’t get rice wine, but I do sense steamed rice. It is an apt description to my senses, although probably influenced by the powers of suggestion.

Late posting Yesterdays's smoke.T'was a good one, the cello had a nice yellow/brown tint. And the Cigar had a sharp burnline all the way.

I have been eyeing this for a few months now. This time, as my hand passed over the cedar trays of cigars in my humidor and my fingers grasped it for a momentary inspection, I did not hear the voice “another time”.

The lightly veined, oily wrapper was mostly obscured by metallic gold and black multiple bands, ensleeving much of the length, circumcised with regular circular perforations on the lower slip. The evenly spaced round cutouts reminded me of the perforated lick-able postage stamps.
In my childhood days, I remember sheets of similar S&H Green Stamps my mother and grandmother collected from various shopping excursions. I was always willing to help paste the stamps into booklets that could be redeemed for various goods in a catalog.

On the lower band is scribed:
“Heralded by Grupo de Maestros in Dominican Republic and made in Nicaragua by Plasencia Family”

Enjoying immensely as I’m sitting in my backyard listening to the rhythmic chirping of crickets and other insects in the trees. Often in unison, but occasionally some have varying oscillations and the chirps go in and out of a singular chorus to alternations. I don’t hear the high pitched trill of toads. It has been years since I’ve heard one and probably longer since seen. They used to be regular congregants beneath the streetlight in front of the house, there to catch a nightly meal of moths and other insects drawn to the light. Many times during the day I could find a two dimensional version left in the street having come under a passing tire. The different light wavelengths emitted by earlier sodium lamps, and now LEDS don’t attract the insects, and as baitfish attract a school of larger predatory fish, the absence of insects precludes the terrestrial amphibians and winged mammals seen in the islands of light.

I can concur. Despite having eight to ten weeks or so off in the summer, they seem to make up for it during the school year in evenings and weekends with work taken home.

She worked different jobs for a while, then last year she took a small pay cut for a teachers assistant job. Then we found out there are other ways to get certified. She did that now she's good to go and her is almost double what it was before

Had to look up what the coordinates were for 22N, 83W, and also information about the cigar. Hadn’t heard of it prior.

Approximately Isla de la Juventud, of Cuba.
Precisely though, in the bay between there and the main island.
