Recommended. Very good.
Better than the one I had a few months ago. Seems to be common in the stuff I’ve read about it. Needs a bit of rest. They’ve been out long enough that they should be good to go now. Complex. Lot of flavor changes. Cedar, oak, wood shavings, barnyard, damp leaves. Some pepper in the first third. Hints of cinnamon’s in last third. If I had a complaint, the ash seemed to drop off easily if it got more than about a half inch.

It is interesting to compare flavor notes. At times, I taste something familiar, but have difficulty putting a name or description to it. Others, it comes to mind clearly. Those times, it’s usually when I’m paying a little attention, but not too much, not trying to force it.

Other cigar sessions, I’m on auto pilot and I get to the end and can’t describe anything, other that if it was good, OK, or not so good. Like those routine drives where you arrive at the destination and don’t really recall anything about the drive itself. There is a place for all of these.

Montecristo Espada Guard Toro 6x50.
Habano Wrapper.
This one burned nicely, but burn time seemed half as long as expected, no wind to blame, just burned fast.

Caldwell Lost & Found Swedish Delight Rothschild 4.7x52.
Wrapper Ecu Habano.
Smoked right after a Montecristo Espada Guard, that burned faster than I expected. This shorter Swedish Delight lasted an Hour and Two Minutes.
That was at least Ten Minutes longer burn time than the larger Espada. With about twenty percent less tobacco than the Espada the Caldwell burned a lot longer.
I'd guess the Lost & Found cigar was a tighter roll. Or maybe just wanted to enjoy more time in the Sun.

Im so very sorry to hear your brother passed though… it’s not pretty, you’re absolutely right.

I know many people, when they hear the word Methadone, sometimes automatically think, Methadone Clinics for people struggling with addiction. That was my initial reaction when my older Dr said it’s used for pain management also and suggested it for the chronic pain I have from my health issues. I had been on it about 2 decades, the last 15 years was at the highest dose. Yesterday was 13 weeks off it, and I have ZERO desire/urge, etc… to ever be on any medication like that again. Thank God, I’ve not had an urge to go back either. It’s been a rough few months I won’t lie, but we are tackling things differently with my new Dr. now.

A BLTC Morphine Lancero for Saturday, really should buy a box of these next month…

David also had severe pain from a neck injury and the doctors wouldn’t give him pain medicine to help relieve his daily pain. So he used street drugs and ended up on heroin. When he got on Methadone he didn’t have to fear getting busted, so that is what he did until he passed. He kept asking to up his daily dose when he was able to and was taking 300mg daily single dose for years. He would just go in and out of consciousness throughout the day and required someone to take care of him, because he was unable to care for himself. His brain became mush and didn’t know how to even write a check. It was heartbreaking. He was a college grad and a great athlete and died at 62.

I’m really glad to hear you have found a doctor that will help you control your pain my friend! I wish you great success.

Just figured I should post a pic so you Bums don't forget me. I finally got out on the golf course, decided to go ride around with my golf buddies and do a little chipping and putting. Still no full swings or anything close but it was great to get out on the short grass.

Figured there was a good chance my first cigar back may wind up getting cut short and tossed early so I chose one worthy of that path. A friend brought me back a cigar from a vacation and this Cafe by Artesanos volunteered for this important mission. I made it most of the way thru, but the sweet tip finally got to me and it got tossed early......

I’m so sorry… Addiction in any form is a brutal thing to witness. I’ll never understand the “Health Care Industry”… their oath is to Do No Harm, well not helping someone in legitimate pain is doing harm. My heart goes out to you for your loss.

My Father Friday Afternoon Smoke.
Don Pepin Garcia Blue Exquisitos 5.6x46.
Nica Habano Wrapper.
This one had been resting a good long while, maybe too long. The foot almost the entire part the foot band covered was 'kinda ragged' had to trim some before lighting. After a few seconds the wrapper started peeling,no cracks in the binder,burnline fairly even until tunneling showed up likely because I was smoking too slowly. Needed two relights. Final third was fine. But the hassles earlier on made Me think it'd been better just to toss it.
Shouldn't bitch too much it's not often that a DPG Cigar doesn't perform well.

Went and dug this out perdomo was one of the brands early in this hobby that got me into cigars more. This was basically their top of the line plus it's a coffin. Got this back in 2018 but clearly it's older than that.

As some of you may know I have been a bit burnt out at work. Last month I didn't have overtime was Aug 2020. While there may be more who work more hours a week than me that overtime was just another straw I was tired of carrying. On Monday I got a promotion to be a hearing officer for the state. Same coin different side. While the raise was minimal no more ot for me. So I figured it deserved something different to Celebrate with.

Also Salomonshape which i always thought was cool but seldomsmoke due to size.

You know TJ, TT has never once thought my photos of cigars were dicks, makes me wonder how many dick pics you send that your phone sees an even remotely phallic object and just assumes it’s your dick. Congratulations on the new gig! As someone who worked OT for years I can validate you on this! The extra hours add up and after months with no respite your body just starts to burn out. I am so happy you are going to give your body a bit of a break.
