Also...I've never had Red Rose iced tea. I love me some iced tea, and seeing you mention it has got me intrigued to find out more.

The last Victor Sinclair I smoked (The 55 Imperial) was pretty good to me, but not exceptional. The others (the less expensive ones) are not remarkable, but then I may have aged them too long (around 6-8 years).

It was a good cigar! Kind of mild, but it had some rich undertones and some body. I'm not a big cigar expert by any means, but it tasted good to me. The band was a PITA to get off though! I ended having to use a box cutter very carefully to get it off.

Glad I drank Four Cups of good hot Coffee before heading out to smoke this Cigar.The amount of effort it took to get the banded and beribboned Cedar sleeve off severely stressed My level of patience. Only the soothing prep with the Coffee along with the realization that if I hacked off the length covered by that sleeve, smoking the Nub that'd be left would not have made for pleasurable experience. Figure that if they'd forgo the glue,just secure the sleeve with double rows of staples the removal would be faster, tho the holes left in the Cigar might result in an uneven burn. Guess in the end it's a case of six of one and/or about as much of the other.

not much lately. Last week first I thought I was getting a bad cold. Then I worried myself into thinking it might be covid but got tested and was negative. They said I had a bad sinus condition so got antibiotics and antihistamine. That kind of killed my nose but did get in a Four Kicks maduro which tasted pretty good despite my condition. I know that is a good one but just didnt taste real good but that was me. Tried a Rock-a-feller smoke my B& M guy said was pretty good. He said they were good but he gave me an extra one cause he was putting them on sale next week cause they werent selling. He puts things on sale even if he thinks they are good but they arent selling which makes sense from his standpoint.

Anyway it seemed pretty good but will test the second one when I feel better. Anybody ever heard or smoked one of them? Weather is good today and feeling better so might try Oliva 135 Anniversary. end of story for now

Corojo wrapper.
Solidy packed good construction but two patches on the wrapper that really stand out,one much darker the other that's a lot lighter than the wrapper colour,looks like a piece of a ridged binder.the Cigar smoked perfectly even burn,perfect draw.

not much lately. Last week first I thought I was getting a bad cold. Then I worried myself into thinking it might be covid but got tested and was negative. They said I had a bad sinus condition so got antibiotics and antihistamine. That kind of killed my nose but did get in a Four Kicks maduro which tasted pretty good despite my condition. I know that is a good one but just didnt taste real good but that was me. Tried a Rock-a-feller smoke my B& M guy said was pretty good. He said they were good but he gave me an extra one cause he was putting them on sale next week cause they werent selling. He puts things on sale even if he thinks they are good but they arent selling which makes sense from his standpoint.

Anyway it seemed pretty good but will test the second one when I feel better. Anybody ever heard or smoked one of them? Weather is good today and feeling better so might try Oliva 135 Anniversary. end of story for now

I tried a few rock a fellers once when one of our reps brought them around for us to pick up the line, this was like 8 years ago maybe so I don’t remember the cigars themselves but I do remember I didn’t bring them on as a new product line

This Cigar had been hibernating since last November.
Perfect time to set it on fire. All that long,long rest pause certainly had no negative affect, seemed like a just rolled and ready to smoke flavourful cigar smooth tho strong.

Creamy (Ñandysy is related to dairy/milk/cream in Paraguay), at times floral, baking spices. Pretty good! A bit different. Not very spicy.

Lots of earthiness, peaty, somewhat musty, minerals. Some sweetness. Dried apples. White pepper on the retro. Citrus. Bit of leather.

Dang drive-ins are about as rare as places to smoke! However, iirc the last time I smoked at a movie was a drive in also, The Shinning. I also remember when you could smoke on flights, you had to sit in that crappy tail section, but you got your nic fix!

All I could find is that they come from a factory in Tamboril Dominican Republic. This could include La Aurora, Tabacalera Palma (La Galera, Cuban Aristocrat, Matilde), Tabacalera William Ventura (Caldwell, Room101, La Barba), PDR (PDR, A Flores, El Trovador, Hiram & Solomon), LFD, Tabacalera El Artista (Sinistro, many custom made to order), Tabacalera Palencia (JSK, Muestra de Saka), and others!

Closest I can tell it is from Hamptons Cigar Manufactory. Whether they have their own factory or utilize one of the many in Tamboril, I do not know.

Cuba Aliados Original Blend Robusto 5x50.
Don't know if this a Hondrian Puro or not.
Rolandro Reyes Sr.made some fine Cigars,and some average ones.
Think is about Mediun regarding potency,construction likely good, burned unevenly, burned rather quickly...but think Wind was the problem.
Will have to smoke another under better conditions to really evaluate the Cigars worth (to Me).

Tuesday Afternoon.
Montecristo Espada Oscuro Guard 6x50.
Wrapper Habano Rosado Oscuro .
Binder Nicaraguan.
Fillers Nicaraguan.
Recall when these first came out they got some pretty high ratings. I've meant to try one but didn't get around to doing so until now.
Cut & lit about an hour after the Cigars arrived.Temp around 80 degrees F. Had to find a place away from the wind. Light was easy and the burn line sharp stayed that way for the long duration.
Retrohales smooth not too much bite or sting there, smoke production good ,easy draw. There was what I can only call a slightly sweet taste on the pre light and initial draw which was gone in under a minute.
Enjoyed the Cigar perhaps it was the time of Day smoked, but would have liked this in the size of the Oliva Serie V Melanio 4.5x48 or a 5.63.5x46 Corona. Looking forwards to smoking more of them in the Evening or Night, My preferred time free of distractions & noise to relax with a good Cigar.

Thoughts?It's a good stick, nothing quick about it though. 1:30 smoke time for something that felt like a light pack.

Flavor profile is salty tobacco tar, but without seeing any tar build up. Kind of like an anejo, but without the chocolate notes. Also bitters and a little pepper. Very smooth smoke production, and perfect burn line throughout. Interesting stick, and for the price it's a no brainer if you like the bitter notes.

Our one and only graduates high school tonight. He's a great kid and has zero interest in smoking. I offered to share these with him on his 18th last July and got less than enthusiastic response from him. This is probably because I put my cigar hobby on hold once he became old enough to be brainwashed by the public school system on the dangers of smoking. I played along for the last 14 years. I'll smoke my half of the pair of birth announcement cigars tonight. I'll put the other in glass tube for him to keep. One more box out of the walk in.

I dont plan on jumping right back into my old habit/amount, and anything without an easy draw when draw testing gets put back as you definitely dont want to suck very hard at all on anything. Pulling out a blood clot through sucking too hard is the real issue.

Plus, that 1 is it for the day.

Recommended. Very good.
Better than the one I had a few months ago. Seems to be common in the stuff I’ve read about it. Needs a bit of rest. They’ve been out long enough that they should be good to go now. Complex. Lot of flavor changes. Cedar, oak, wood shavings, barnyard, damp leaves. Some pepper in the first third. Hints of cinnamon’s in last third. If I had a complaint, the ash seemed to drop off easily if it got more than about a half inch.
