Arturo Fuente Anejo Reserva No.55

Have only had one Anejo in a number of years and the last one was extremely strong and overwhelmed my palate, so i didn't buy anymore. Same thing happened with OpusX's.

The last few OpusX's and this Anejo all had at least 5 years age on them and were way more mellow, smokable and enjoyable.

This one was smooth and mellow. Actually a mild to mild-medium medium body, richness and flavor.

Glad i have 2 No.49's from the same friend that should be excellent too.

Southern Draw Peccadilloes No.9 Lupine

Extremely tasty, like smoked, spicy meat is the best i can describe it.

First third had a pretty significant burn on the tongue during the finish/aftertaste, but the all of the fini/ aftertaste was very brief.

Perfect draw,burn and construction.

Wrapper did crack up a bit right where i was holding it, although I certainly wasn't rough or gripping it hard at all.

Although it’s Fuente/My Father Friday, I’m celebrating today!
We had a leak in our hot water heater, and when the plumber came, he showed us that it was nearing a rupture. They came yesterday and replaced it with a new one, even went up 10 additional gallons. Ended up saving almost $500 when it was all done, that’s a reason to celebrate imho.

Enjoying Friday after dropping off this little dude at the vet. He is a baby flying squirrel that we found in between some pallets in the warehouse today. I spent all morning calling around to find a wildlife rescue and was finally directed to this vet. Thank goodness, because as adorable as that face is, I didn’t want to spend the next 6 months as a squirrel mom. They have to be fed every two hours around the clock! FTN.

They're a factory to door operation. I'm going to try to get a review up soon.

I bought a 10 pack, and it's kinda been a mixed bag. More-so good than not. Had a few that hit very nicely, some so-so, and some were plugged.

I'm just now likening this purchase to that of buying a pack of baseball cards as a kid - seem to get 1-2 good cards, some that were tradeable, some players you may've heard of and some you didn't carenfor and would give to your little brother to make him shut up.

Almost all have been smoked ROTT with very little tuppie time - so keep that in mind. I plan on buying a 20 pack and throwing them in the tuppie for a bit as I think that would be a huge help.

H. R. Signature Habana Toro 6x52.
Habano 2000 Seed Rosado Maduro Wrapper.
The closed foot makes for an easy light,once lit the cigar burns as near to perfect as one could wish for, super nice retrohales all the long way.

Put them in my tupperdor for trade or bomb smokes in case i run across someone who really likes them. They sat for easily 6 months, and I said f-it, might as well burn 'em.

Much to my surprise, i really enjoyed the rest of them. Must have just really needed a nap. Only the second time this has ever happened to me.

2017 Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Connecticut Toro

Unfortunately, the wrapper cracked and peeled all over, just from normal handling to cut and hold while lighting and smoking. Wrapper was extremely thin, which seems to be common for me with Connecticut wrappers, but not always this bad.

Perfect draw and burn at least.

Had a fair bit of bitterness in the aftertaste which pretty much ruins a cigar for me.

Definitely wont be buying any (this one was a gift along with a few other), as no matter how good the initial taste is, any bitterness just ruins it, plus the ultr-thin wrapper, which caused me to finally give up on Connecticut wrappers entirely.

Still thankful Tombstone for the ride along smokes he sent with the massive number of bands for a project, and the other cigars have been great

Glad you at least gave it a try. I have been surprised several times trying cigars I thought were outside my wheelhouse. Sometimes you get a dog rocket. Personally I enjoy Rocky CTs. Hope the next cigar is better.

Paul Stulac Lord Toro 6x48.
Ecuadorian Habano Wrapper.
This was the Paul stulac cigar that I have smoked the most of from His brands a few years ago, when the Paul Stulac Cigars were easier to find. Don't recall exactly when Paul Stulac disappeared from sellers here in the USA. Anyway it

was an obvios easy choice to be the first Paul Stulac I would light up from the great selection Nature ( Mark ) sent Me, Mark called this "a few details" !! Allow Me a little aside right Here. when looking over these beauties Mark sent

I thought that the Classic Phantom Torpedo had been renamed, but could not recall the original name of that cigar. It was only while I was smoking this Paul Stulac Lord that the penny finally dropped and remembered thatit was the Lord

that had given a name change. I'm fairly certain I do have an empty box some wheres with the name Lord Of Albany on it.
Well back to this Smoke. As expected, construction great, cigar feels solid,neither loosely pack nor too tight, easy light,pretty sharp burn likegood smoke production. Somewhat sronger than I remembered the cigar being, maybe a change is

strenght in these now. Pleasnntly surprised to find the flavour(s) changing as the cigar burned down. Remembered the Lord as being tasty,but this one was better than My memories of those I enjoyed smoking in the past. Another lapse of

Memory,the Lord is a Maduro. Here I am saying that I'm not much of a Maduro fan. But I sure smoked a fair number of boxes of these back then, Suix,Seven, Eight Years ago. Summing up this is one helluva nice Cigar, nottoo Mild, complex

and a durn good smoke. Ah one more thing. The Lord was, as I recall a Lonsdale with a 44 Ring Gauge. But this one has to be a toro and that R G might be 49 or maybe even 50. Wichever it is a fine cigar for sure.

Other than by accident, forgot I had the Cigar, am certain I've never had possession of a cigar that long, heck even half that long before smoking it.
Age really does help a lot of cigars, not just Cubans. Fuentes, providing they've been treated well while in captivity do, think smoke nicely.

Oddly I was just done posting catch up posts when the Bum shut down. So wrote every cigar smoked down on a list likely missed one or two of the nighttime cigars. Then when the Bum came back from vacation decided I'd had enuff of playing catch up. Tossed the list,too much work to post, slow as I am anyway, would likely take months to catch up. I'll just enjoy looking at Kayla's pix of the four or five dozen She smoked during the time out.

Enjoying Friday after dropping off this little dude at the vet. He is a baby flying squirrel that we found in between some pallets in the warehouse today. I spent all morning calling around to find a wildlife rescue and was finally directed to this vet. Thank goodness, because as adorable as that face is, I didn’t want to spend the next 6 months as a squirrel mom. They have to be fed every two hours around the clock! FTN.

Viaje Pina Makona 6x52

Perfect burn. Voluminous smoke. Plenty of pepper on the retrohale without being overwhelming. Full deep body. Med-Full strength.

Notes of espresso, dark earth, white and red pepper, bit of jalapeño in last third. Citrus, brown sugar. Nutmeg, dark chocolate. Dare I say a hint of pineapple? Perhaps power of suggestion.

Excellent cigar.
I see a return to the store to pick up a few more.

I like that one. How was the cigar itself?I really like that one - enough that I was going to buy more and link it for you guys but the damn thing is sold out already! It had a leathery all-spice and nice Maduro sweetness to it (anti-pepper bomb cigar).

Makes me want to look into the Privada farm rolled stuff.

Started smoking this one before Midnight Sunday but finished up on My Father Monday morning, very early.
I'm a wee bit partial to the dried leaves Don Pepin Garcia produces. This rather stout one burned very nicely start to finish.

A nicely burning cigarwith an ok retrohale then a horrible taste and a smell like burning garbage with strong note of some kind of bug spray.Tossed the cigar, now a couple hours later that taste lingers on. Since this has turned into a long review (and I don't/can't do reviews) I do have a fitting end. This some guys will sniff both the head and the foot of a cigar before smoking.There's this thing of not looking a gift Horse in the mouth, and after all this cigar was a gift. To sum up this would have been much like sniffing both ends of a gift horse.
Ya win some, ya lose some.

La Flor Dominicana Reserva Especial Maduro No.2

Very tasty, milder, smooth smoke with a perfect draw and great smoke volume.

Wrapper did peel a little bit in the middle during the first 3rd, but wasn't a problem at all.

Depending on price, i would definitely buy more

ETA: wow, only a few places carry them, especially the No.2 specifically, that only 2 places have.

$198 for a box of 24 isn't too bad but definitely very near my personal per cigar cost limit

One of my favorites. I keep buying packs of these to keep hidden in my aging humidor just in case they decide to disco it, but then I smoke them all and none of them get put away. This time around I bought two packs.

Apparently a collaboration with Altidas, Famous Smoke Shop exclusive line.

A surprisingly excellent cigar with perfect draw,burn and construction and great taste.

I'd say its a medium in all aspects.
