The Man O’ War I had yesterday, was a surprisingly good smoke, think I’ll try their Ruination next. It had good construction, great draw, razor sharp burn, and lots of smoke output. Need to smoke a few more to nail down the flavor profile.

reminds me of fishing trip I took with my dad and uncles when I was a kid. We went to Delaware or Ocean City MD, cant remember exactly where and fished for flounder. Seems like I caught 2 blowfish for every flounder I caught. Great trip and great memory.

Emilio Cavatina

Emilio is a lesser known brand of Oveja Negra that doesn’t get a lot of credit.
I’m not hip with the music / recording studio theme of Emilio cigars, but they are good, nonetheless.

The Cavatina here is a collaboration with James Brown of BLTC. No wonder I liked it.

I recall enjoying the La Musa, which I can no longer find. I learned the La Musa was formerly known as Grimalkin, but now there is a Emilio Grimalkin. Did it come full circle? The current Grimalkin is also a collaboration with James Brown.

Happy Friday everyone! We survived the storm without any damage to the house itself. We just lost a bunch of our fence and a tree. Just got internet back today but only lost power for an hour or so. We were super lucky. My next door neighbor spent all day yesterday with my father and me repairing my fence (because he is amazing and the best neighbor in the world). it is jimmy rigged since we didn’t have replacement posts and no stores were open to buy any, but it will keep Rufus in the yard and that is all it needs to do.

Good, well made smoke as usual with my experience with 5 Vegas, but this one is a bit too mild for my liking .

I prefer medium to full body

Happy Friday everyone! We survived the storm without any damage to the house itself. We just lost a bunch of our fence and a tree. Just got internet back today but only lost power for an hour or so. We were super lucky. My next door neighbor spent all day yesterday with my father and me repairing my fence (because he is amazing and the best neighbor in the world). it is jimmy rigged since we didn’t have replacement posts and no stores were open to buy any, but it will keep Rufus in the yard and that is all it needs to do.

Well Bums, It's October! Time to reach for some spooky sticks. We watched the La Llorona movie last night ([emoji107]), so to go along with the occasion, I broke the seal on the La Llorona box.

The packaging boasted boveda, including a branded seal and was still in shrink wrap. I've had it in my humidor for a couple months now and found it interesting that the 69 boveda inside was mostly dry (I keep the step-in at 65). I guess its a nice buffer; but shows that over time, even with the shrink wrap, you need proper humidification.

Smoke fine three fifths of the way then ended, no way to get any more smoke couldn't get it relit the whole thing was just too wet.
First time I've had one quit like that due to very heavy rain . Did have this happen several times on the beach heavy mist/sea spray.

Very tasty and a solid medium body and woody flavor. Light, brief finish and mild strength.

Perfect draw,burn and construction

Cold draw tasted of chocolate. First time that's ever happened, especially since I typically don't get any taste from the cold draw.

For $5ea, its definitely worth picking up a fiver and see what you think.

A jar set up to ferment for pickled peppers. Might make a hot sauce with them. Some more that had already started drying on the stalk. I will complete the process in a dehydrator.

This one was pretty plugged. It felt like I was Tombstone going to town on a lovely MILF as I reamed this thing at all different angles. She opened up alright but the taste seemed off, probably from constant hard pulls.

I'm impressed by the construction. Probably one of the most tightest packed cigars I've had. Spent the first five mintues rolling it out with pressure, try to knead out the bunching. It never cracked and I felt like a damn pasty chef there for a bit. Now I gotta wait about 2 mintues between draws or else she goes hot. Still burns well after the wait.

Not the best of the bunch so far and I'm gonna toss early due to the increased time it'll take to finish. Not mad, though.
