What do you think of that firepit? I often wondered if they are worth the cost?I thinks it's great. It was a bit pricey, but it's stainless steel. It has nice aesthetics and some options to do other things with. You can put it on a deck if you get the base ring. Think I got a package deal that included it and a cap ring for about $300. Whatever the price was, the dealer pretty much matched the mfg price (they always have sales/deals) and it included a gift card - so, be in the lookout for them if there aren't any current mfg website discounts.

I've not been good on covering it (came with a transport case that i use as a cover) and its been raining hella here this past week. Other than the imternal blemish from fires, there's not a spot of rust on it. I think it's gonna last a very long time. Really does go smokeless and the flame once it gets goes is badass. Burns through shit QUICK, though. Have a good supply of wood if you wanna keep it going.

That is awesome news! I am trying my darndest to propagate milkweed from clippings of my plants but I only have like a 30% success rate. I am about to attempt growing it from a seed, the seeds just need to thaw for a couple of days before I can plant them.

Villiger NicaRoma Gordo Maduro

Very tasty and great draw and smoke volume being a 60rg.

Construction was great other than a little peeling during the last third, and burn got away from me in the final 3rd too.

Overall, a very good smoke.

What variety of milkweed do you grow? I’ve noticed that the Monarchs prefer certain species over others.

I’ve got some Rose, Common, and Swamp. Tried raising some monarch caterpillars off of the butterfly milk weed and they weren’t fans. Just read an article the other day that says you should only plant native milkweed plants so they bloom when they are supposed to in order to aid their migration. Only the swamp is native here but it also blooms all year so I figured it would be fine to grow the non native ones as well.

Villiger Selecto Maduro Toro

Very tasty and decent smoke volume.

Was rolled tight, and even my big Modus II didn't help much as there was no plug to tear a chunk out of, so draw was kinda tight.

Burn was perfect

Construction wise, peeled at the head immediately after cutting, even though I didn't cut below the cap. Also peeled a little at the foot at about the 2nd third.

Neither was bad enough to be anything but an annoyance though.

Famous Nicaraguan 6000 Churchill

Very tasty and good smoke volume although it took a few puffs to get there as the draw was fairly tight. I must have forgotten a cold draw check or i would have used my big Modus II on it which typically helps a lot.

Burn and construction were perfect

Always leary of vendor house blend cigars, but they said it was made for them by Aganorsa Leaf, so i was willing to chance it.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI bought a 5 pack of these a while back and initially didn't care for them at all after trying 3 of them. Saved the remaining 2 as trading fodder for about 9 months until no one was ever interested , so put them back into a regular tupperdor and when I tried one i really enjoyed it.

This has happened with a handful of cigars where i didn't care for them initially, but did 6 to 9 months later. Amazing what a little bit of time will do.

Cuban Rejects Maduro Cigarillo

Smoked shortly after waking up.

Nice little quick fix smokes for when you don't want or don't have time for a bigger smoke.

Nothing special taste wise, but pretty good still, with a straight tobacco taste.

Surprisingly, i liked the Natural ones better. They had more flavor than the maduro, which i wasn't expecting.

Still not bad at like $30 for 50

8/15 on the cello...and it's 8/22. Seven years, trying to think back...These aged sticks with dates alway make me think where, who, and what I was then?; what was significant?; was it a good year? Typing this, thinking "it's all a fucking blur"; and just now I recall being in Chicago with my wife and two kids (at the time). She had a work conference, and we always made those to be free family vacations. Good times there, and the kids were very young. It's the year I really discovered Grateful Dead, and I just so happened to be where their final tour would be held...but it was another month away...so maybe it was 07/22...close enough. [emoji1787]
