They are good. Not among my favorites of the DTT. They don’t taste like a pipe in a cigar, but have notes that remind me of the pipe blends. They do give a slight room note like pipes, but still overshadowed by cigar. This English variety had a sweetness throughout reminiscent of English pipe tobacco. The pipe tobacco taste was less than expected, but the balance is well done.

Brick House Maduro Robusto

Great smoke volume, although the smoke was a bit hot. A solid medium.

Taste was really not good at all. Granted the Toros i have been smoking have 5 to 10 years on them, but it doesn't seem like just that would make a young one taste so bad.

Smoked a lot of those Pepin's but have not smoked the Cubao cigar once were no longer blended and made Him.
My understanding is that this *new* Cubao is said to "the same as" those made by Garcia.
Well, that may be true, but they do not have the same spiciness and lack any trace of Pepin's signature pepper.
This for me is a nice relatively mild Night time smoke.

Matt, Thanks , but I really can't do a review of a cigar, any cigar. Just don't get the nuances and or flavour changes that most smokers pick up on and can name.
Still haven't gotten around to smoking the Espinosa made Murcielago cigars, those too were made by Garcia in the past, same story as the Cubao, enjoyed the ones made by Pepin Garcia sooner or later should give the Espinosa Murcielago a try.
Ok, drifting far off rather than attempting to answer Your question about 0ther Ortega Cigars. Don't remember having smoked any other Ortega cigars. Just took a look at Ortega made cigars and found nothing that think I may have smoked.

Been away for some time with a medical procedure, but have been hitting the cigars as much as I could. Haven't been able to post. So I'll try and start again for May.

Had some good cigars on Wednesday 5-4-22 from a box split from a box split on another forum they may even belong here also.

2- Crowned Heads Las Calaveras Edición Limitada 2021 LC48 (6 x 48, NIC) Have been getting the limited editions for quite a few years now. The 2021 was a very enjoyable cigar.
2- Black Label Trading Company Deliverance Porcelain Corona Gorda (5.5 x 48, NIC) On the milder side for my liking that late in the day, but enjoyed the flavor profile.

Thursday 5-5-22:

John Bull Prime Minister (7.2 x 54, NIC) Early morning smoke this has been hanging around for some time so 5-5-22 was the day, wasn't looking for much out of this cigar. And it was run of the mill smoke. Burned and smoked well though. Was a gift from a brother awhile ago, but don't see myself buying any soon

MBombay Mora Lancero (7 x 38, CR) Very good smoke, open foot was a little different looking though.
Matilde Renacer Corona (5.5 x 44, DR) Enjoyable smoke. Medium strength, but very nutty flavor profile
Ave Maria Divinia Morning Star (5 x 58, NIC) Really like the Ava Maria line, Perfecto is a fussy style to smoke though. Still worth the price


Friday 5-6-22: The rain is a real soaker here in Northeast Pa.so starting off with:

Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Robusto (5 x 52, DR) Don't know if it's the rain playing havoc on the wrapper, or just the cigar.
Man O' War Armada Corona (5 x 44, NIC) Again I really like this brand, then again I'm a big AJ Fernandez fan. Good flavor profile and a great price.

Nice medium strength smoke. Enjoyable cigar with flavors of earthiness, oakish wood, and leather. While watching the 76ers finally win a game against Miami.

Couldn't really see the cherry brightness during lighting it, but it was smoking decently. Attributed it to wind and ROTT-wet. Smoked good but uneven during 1/2, then I started messing with it and it went downhill but still almost nubbed it. We'll see how some tuppie time treats them.

I’ve always been a bit of a bird watcher, but with the typical work schedule I had, I tried to keep up on the feeders in the winter, but wouldn’t see any benefits as it was dark when I got home.

I bet you get a lot more variety down there!! Especially in the winter.

Painted buntings? How cool! I hear indigo buntings in the summer here, but rarely see them.

I have been using a few apps to help with ID. iBird Pro, Merlin, eBird for tracking/reporting. BirdNET will analyze sound and help with ID. Merlin also has this feature built in, but is more automatic. Merlin is supposed to have a automatic photo ID, but I don’t have the equipment to get a good enough, close-up photo.
