Really enjoyed it. I've recently had both this vitola (Machito) and the Consul. Both great, but tastewise I'm leaning towards to the Machito, plus I like the petite corona size. Either one you'll enjoy, and probably along with the other vitolas. Would like to check out the lancero, and I'm thinking it'll be pretty close to the Machito.

JDN seems like an under-rated, not much hype kinda brand. Everything I've had by them has been great.

The Devil should be able to help you out with these.


I enjoyed one of the cigars chain_gang sent me as a bodyguard/welcome to the Bum bomb.

Very tasty. Definitely a full, becoming very full for the second half.

Tons of smoke volume with a taste of rich tobacco and a fair bit of spice, becoming very spicy with a significant bite on the tongue in the second half

Kinda tasty. Very strong and full, on par with a young Opus X, so difficult to discern anything in particular but strong, rich tobacco.

Quite good.
I have been a fan of Noel Rojas stuff since when I first picked up few fivers of his Project 7 back in about ‘13.?
BTW, I think those OG P7 were better than the current editions, but that could be from my perception after they aged a few years.

Glad to see he is beginning to get his name out there . He owns Guayacan and has blended for Emilio and Nomad cigars.

Asylum Schizo 52x7 (Fifty-Two,Churchill)

Very tasty, but plagued with issues.

Draw was good, but required 5 puffs to get a reasonable amount of smoke, and in between, kept acting like it was going out.

Burn was terrible until the final 3rd when it finally stayed even.

Construction was decent, but did start to peel pretty good at the head when cut, even though there was plenty of cap left. Was fine after gluing.

Very tasty. Solid medium until the final 3rd when it jumped to full, but not overwhelmingly so.

All around excellent cigar.

Unfortunately, several vitolas, including the Robusto, have been discontinued, leaving only 4 vitolas in 2 wrappers left, Maduro and San Andreas Claro. It is held at the Florida state fare grounds in Tampa, all of 10 minutes from our house. And it was great, we walked 6 miles, ate more food than should be humanly possible ( cookie dough on a stick, corn dog, elephant ear) got blisters on top of blisters, sun burned, and yet… it was fun.

My grandparents got vanilla ice cream in a cup. That was their special treat. There were hundreds of food vendors offering the wildest things ( cookies and cream funnel cake, cheesecake on a stick, poutine sundays, etc) and my grandparents chose vanilla soft serve ice cream… no toppings, no cone, nothing. Frickin weirdos man!

Avo XO Maestoso

Very tasty like the other Avo XO vitolas I have had.

Pretty good smoke volume

Burn and draw were perfect.

Not sure if this is really a construction issue, but the wrapper was extremely thin and fragile. Cracked and peeled all over just from handling to remove it from my tupperdor and cut it.

Lots of glue fixed it up, and had no issues while smoking thankfully.

The first time I took my husband to Minnesota to visit the family (and the first time my husband saw snow), we left Florida and it was 85 degrees, we landed in Minnesota and it was -22. Stolen throne Crook of the Crown. Had this one and their Call to Arms. Crook has San Andreas wrapped and Call is Sumatra wrapped. Think I like the Call better right now but these are my first two from this brand and they are both pretty good. Construction and burn are perfect. Need more research samples.

Ended up with a 20% lung infection in one lung from it. I had some long hauler effects from it that included some crazy fatigue once in a while. Like every 5 to 7 days I would just sleep for 36 or 40 out of 48 hours. That graduly got better and went away after about 6-7 months. Hopefully you have no long haulers effects at all.

Didnt take a pic during the day but thats how close Gunstock Mtn was! With a little creek running next to the property- I was in heaven smoking these little guys while everyone else was skiing/snowboarding. Such a great view, look forward to going back

Yeah, planning to get a 5 pack of the Vault in my April order as a number of people have said they are really good, and they are relatively cheap too.

Real bummer as they have quickly become a favorite nc.

My first thought is, I need to buy more, lol!
Anyhow,
So far I have only tried the Sumatra, and then the Broadleaf yesterday. The construction is great, both had razor sharp burns, with a great draw, and no touch ups needed. I wouldn’t say it was full body, more towards medium/full. It had some spice to it, not overwhelming though, also some coffee notes. In other words, I liked it a lot!

Was in a rare mood for a CT earlier today. Undercrown Shade still has plenty of flavor for a CT in my opinion and is one of the better ones ive tried for sure. Was a gorgeous 60 degree, sunny afternoon- ended up shirtless on the deck today, in less than 48 hrs well have over a foot of snow. Gotta love New England!

It was very good. I can't really tell if it mellowed or not as I have only had a couple thru the yearsI can understand that.

I dont recall much other than really liking them and them being on the stronger side, so I would think age would smooth and mellow them out but remaining flavorful, as the better aged cigars I have had started out as medium-fulls to fulls when young, while milder ones were flat or bland.

Just my personal experience and opinion though. I'm not as big on cigars aged past 10 years with a very few exceptions, as most people, who love them even older than, that especially around 20 years.

Pick a good cigar to smoke to end the Night/ start the day, but fail to check the temp outdoors before lighting the cigar. Wednesday evening was 67. F. now...31.F.
Smoked OK, once I got away from the wind and added a little heat...never the less even aftercouple cups of good hot coffee, fingers still semi numb. Should've opted for sleep then check temp before heading out to smoke.
