Happy that you were negative after exposure. Hope your grandson has a mild case and its no worse than a cold or flu.

As long as he has no medical problems, particularly asthma, copd, emphysema, etc., he should come out fine.

I have a friend in Arizona who just tested positive yesterday, so mandatory, paid 2 week vacation from work since he is a prison guard. With that job, being off for 2 weeks, even feeling crappy, would be a nice break from dealing with the inmates who have been on 23 hour a day lockdown for a year, so I'm sure they are pretty unruly at this point.

He's a relatively young guy at 50, and has no health problems, so should be fine.

So far he just has a slight fever and some nausea.

I’m grateful to WNYTONY for turning me onto HVC. I have tried ( and smoked many of ) the Hot Cakes, Pan Caliente, and now these La Rosa sticks, but they are all worth having in the rotation. Box worthy as well, imho.

2016 Opus X Destino al Siglo Perfecxion X

Outstanding taste, a mild-medium at most, very mellow and smooth but still very flavorful

Have definitely learned i like the Opus X's a lot once they get about 5 years on them, vs fresh ones that are way too strong for my palate.

Really needed some "Me Time" today so said screw the temperatures and dressed warm. Grabbed a good strong stick for the occasion. (ftr - I was in the sun and out of the wind, I'm not completely crazy). I was able to enjoy an hour long smoke and put up with an additional 20 minutes of fairly chilly but stubborn cigar time to finish it out [emoji16].

What I smoke at any given time is based on just what sounds good at the time.

Sometimes I want a milder morning smoke and sometimes a fuller one.

I never know until I start rummaging through tupperdors or browsing my inventory app, which is why I put such a very high value on variety in my collection. Plus I have very broad tastes as well. Its honestly fairly rare for me to not enjoy a cigar. There certainly have been a few, but really not many at all

Southern Draw Manzanita

My first Southern Draw finally as the couple I've had for a while ended up at the bottom of my tupperdor, so never saw them when choosing something and kept forgetting about them to dig them out until today.

Excellent taste and a nice medium the first half becoming a medium-full or even full the second half, but never got too strong.

Perfect, razor sharp burn, perfect draw and perfect construction with only a couple thin veins and nearly invisible seams and no wrapper issues when handling, cutting or smoking.

Hi Hal I've smoked a few of the Pepins but this is first time to see one of those looks good.I picked a few up a little over a year ago. I think they are Gordos. I really enjoy them. Padilla Series '68 Golden Bear

Very tasty to the nub.

Perfect draw and smoke volume, but burn was stubbornly off pretty badly the entire time, and construction was fine other than slight peeling after I cut it, even though I certainly didn't cut the entire or past, the very tip of the cap.

Was fine when smoking after gluing it.

Was tasty enough to be willing to get more assuming that the burn and construction issues were a one time issue as everyone produces the occasional dud

Only others were the La Imperiosa Corona Gorda and a couple different dates of the Las Calaveras which were great smokes

Maduro Monday so I gave a La Perla Habana Classic Maduro a try. I remember thinking this was a decent cigar when I had one previously. Today's experience was fantastic especially considering the price point.

It offered a profuse amount of smoke which I always enjoy, the draw was almost like sucking air through a straw, just tight enough so I knew I was smoking a cigar. The construction was perfect in all aspects other than the stubborn removal of the band which is no biggie. Did not cause any issues just stronger glue holding the band together than my fat old fingers could easily remove (keep in mind the dexterity of the operator - none). It lit easily and the burn was steady and perfect. Flavorwise it had a bit of pepper and I found it a bit woodsy, a little buttery, and leathery. The flavors would be the low point of the cigar as I would have expected stronger flavors with the amount of smoke volume. Very enjoyable flavors just light on them.

Seriously though considering the price point this was a fantastic cigar. I picked up 5 of these for $8.00 total including their shipping. I received a box as a Xmas gift from a friend. I am not an infused cigar fan overall but I find people who only have a cigar on rare occasions really like them. He did very much enjoy it so it made for a good event. Just nice to have someone to BS with while smoking for a change.

Measured with my Humidimeter just for the heck of it and read 63%

It took 3 to 4 puffs to get good smoke volume, acted like it wanted to go out, and generally like it was over humidified. First of these I've had this problem with in about a dozen smoked.

No clue what the problem was but gave up a bit past the first 3rd.

Very frustrating and disappointing first smoke of the day.

I think if I was only allowed to smoke one cigar brand for the rest of my life I would probably choose Southern Draw. There is not a single bad cigar in their entire line and I think most of their sticks knock it out of the park.

Draw was extremely tight, inspite of multiple runs with my large Modus tool

Even after multiple puffs, still poor smoke volume and it was hot

My initial cap cut was too small so it was really tight. I cut off a bit more cap and then it smoked great. Good construction to it and only required a small touch up during smoking.

I will have to pick up a pack. The local B&M only seems to have that size in sampler packs and I never gave them a go but I will have to change that.

Wood, earth, dry cocoa, medium pepper, pronounced sweetness, fruity; apricot or cherry. I think more apricot. Hickory smoke.
