Guardian of the Farm Campeon

Pretty tasty, a mild-medium the first half then a solid medium the second half.

Perfect draw,burn and construction.

Coal was nice and flat like they should, and ash was solid for a couple inches

Overall, a good, well made cigar. I smoked 1, and they definitely aren't for me either, so I gave away the ones I had left to someone who had mentioned that they were one of his favorite smokes, so they got a good home.

Have 1 currently that is in my "for trade" tupperdor for someone who likes them and wants to do a fiver trade with it being one of the 5.

I love all the other Olivas, but the MB3 is radically different and just isn't for me.

Don't know how much age was on mine as it was one a bomb if various singles.

Black Works Studio Killer Bee

My first of this maker, and was my right before bed smoke last night since it was 2 degrees out, so I wanted something fairly quick.

Excellent taste and definitely a full, but not overpoweringly like young Opus X's and Anejos, so it was still very enjoyable

Perfect draw,burn and construction, burn was razor sharp in fact

Definitely a good smoke worth having on hand for when time is an issue, and you want a full flavored smoke.

Trying the Green Hornet next in the near future too.

Robusto's not My favourite cigar size too large a Ring Gauge in proportion to the length for Me. Pretty sure the Robusto is the most popular size at least in the US these Days
But when I started smoking Cigars, a few months ago, the Corona was a big Cigar.Lonsdales,Panatellas even Churchills didn't sport the Ring sizes so common now.

That's one eye catching cigar band. Hope it smoked as good as it looks.I agree - one catchy but subtle and minimalistic band.

Makes me think retro, 1970s-80s era.

Read a review after smoking - the guy said it reminded him of old school Disney. He hit it dead-on in my opinion - now it makes me think of the Disney cartoons from the 80s-90s like Talespin, Rescue Rangers and Duck Tales.

Pretty good smoke. Definitely would like to have another. Up there with the best CAOs, like the Amazons. Been meaning to smoke it for a long time and glad I did.

Cigar Bundles of Miami 93 Rated Torpedo Maduro

Good taste, but nothing special

Draw was perfect, but required several puffs to get decent smoke volume, construction was very loosely rolled/underfilled as it was quite squishy, burn was pretty bad for the entire length inspite of multiple corrections.

Don't recall having these issues with the other one i smoked.

Just got back from a cigar buying trip to Ybor but all of the sticks I bought are too moist to smoke. Had to head in to Ybor for lunch with a friend so I figured I would kill 2 birds with one stone. I realized how lucky I am as a cigar smoker to live so close to the heart of cigars. Walked 4 blocks and visited 5 cigar shops, great way to spend a morning

Friday Afternoon.
Didn't know this would be the last cigar I'd get to smoke in 2021.
L'Atelier Selection Especiale 5.63x46.
My Secret Santa Regiampero sent Me this excellent in every way cigar. Just look at that cello, it certainly smoked as nice as it looks.The burn was super sharp start to the finish that didn't arrive quickly, this was a long smooth burning cigar for sure. Very nice wrapper and one more of the My father first class creations . Thanks again Regimpero for this fine smoke to end 2021with.

Warming up the First of the New Year's burning. Took every bit of resolve that I had, and then some to let this cigar stay unlit all this long while.
Intended to be smoked right around Midnight to welcome in the New Year, however Fireworks and Champaigne bubbles so captivated Me that smoking got left out.
After some sleep and now three cups of good hot Coffee it's light up time.

Very tasty. First half was a medium-full, 2nd half was full, but not overpowering, final third was very strong and overpowering though

Fairly tasty. Medium-full the first half, becoming full the second half

Perfect draw and construction

Burn was off the entire time regardless of correction attempts until I gave up trying

A little strong for my liking in the second half, and the flavor profile just didn't really do it for me

Bob, was the lancero the 1932 Signature? I had 4-5 of the 1932 Signature Torpedo about 10 years ago and they were exceptional cigars. Truly in the Top 3 of all cigars I have smoked. I got into cigars by trading a college professor in CA who had quit smoking cigars a few years earlier all of his cigars for a 70's stereo receiver. I got 130 cigars and all of his cigar accessories along with his humidor for something I bought for $20 at a yard sale. The 1932 Signatures were part of the trade. He said all of the cigars were 3-8 years old. I still have a Cohiba lancero and a Behike 52 from that trade. I plan on smoking them when I believe they are 20 years old. If I'm not here, one of my sons said he will enjoy them for me. Smart ass kid! :):):)

I will also say that the receiver was a highly sought after monster Sansui that would bring well over $1000 today on eBay and it was pristine and worked perfectly. We were both happy.

But I have toured a couple previously the jc Newman in ybor and the partagas in Cuba. I just learned that the partagas factory collapsed last year so it is a good thing I saw it when I did.

A friend who is the admin on another forum used to live about the same distance from Ybor, and did a lot of contract work for Fuente and Newman too. Just recently moved to Georgia though, so missed my chance to visit him and get a guided tour of Ybor from someone experienced with it.

Very awesome you got to tour the Partagas factory in cuba.

Visiting Cuba is definitely at the very top of my bucket list

Obviously has some age to it based on the cellophane once i removed it.

Very tasty. First 3rd was fairly mild, 2nd third was a solid medium and final 3rd was a medium-full, so lots of variety in the strength.

Draw and construction were perfect

Burn was off most of the time, but only bad enough at a couple points to need correction

My first day starting back up on my morning runs and I was going to take it easy but I got caught in a torrential downpour on the last half mile so I sprinted all the way home and now I feel like grim death. If exercise is good for you it should FEEL good, shouldn’t it?!

Old Smokey, the Padilla 1932 Lancero may have been a signature, I really have no idea other than that it was the best Lancero I've smoked.

It has never occurred to Me to put away cigars to age for Years. If I get a box of cigars,will always smoke one or more ROTT, if they're Ok all's well. Durn little chance any of that box would still be unsmoked twelve weeks on.

Burn required a couple corrections very early on, but straightened out nicely for the majority of the cigar.

Appearance, draw and construction were perfect.

No idea what makes these seconds.

I suspect that they are pretty much regular Olivas just possibly being blended differently and sold as bundles on the cheap to sell more cigars and capture some of the market for bundles.

Who knows though

CAO Criollo Bomba

Excellent taste, just like i remember from smoking a lot of them back in my early years of being a regular cigar smoker.

I thought these were discontinued as when I searched for them a while ago, thats what evey vendor was showing. Now suddenly the Bombas are available all over the place.

Perfect burn and construction.

Draw was pretty tight the first half even though I used my PerfecDraw tool through both end, and even my much larger Modus II when I tested the cold draw.

Improved quite a bit in the second half though.

Thanks! It was a bit disappointing to be honest. The draw was really tight even after using my draw tool and the flavor profile was muted and bland. I am hoping it was just a fluke. If I come across another one in a store in the smaller ring gauge I still plan on giving it another try.

Not speaking for Chris, but I've been rather underwhelmed by them, especially for the level of hype they get.

It was definitely better then the one I had rott, but not so much that I see myself buying them again. I know some people like them a lot, but for my taste, they just don’t cut it. Who knows, I have 3 left, maybe in another 6-8 months my thoughts will change.

At first glance this image had Me p[uzzled, dang Kayla sure is a right flexable Gal, maybe a bender (as they usta call contorionists) to be able to hold a cigar behind the head like this. Good Morning Kayla. Thank You muchly for Your take on the Pasion. Have one from My secret Santa Regiampero, was thinking that this might be one of the overhyped cigars, esp since not seeing anyone posting on Cigarbum about how they smoked.
Remember being disappointed by the El Centurion H-2K-CT when it was first released. You may have noticed that tho rarely smoking cigars, I do from time to time smoke and like some from Pepin Garcia. But there are some I'll not smoke.
Was about to grab a San Cristobal Elegancia for My first, and very late first it would've been this Sunday. Going to go with the Pasion instead. Thank's for the heads up. Enjoy the Day Kayla. Cheers.

Sunday Afternoon.
La Aroma De Cuba Box Pressed Torpedo Passion 6.25x54.
A fine looking Cigar from My Fathers Cigars/ Don Pepin Garcia. Despite it getting a goo0d deal of attention in print, have not seen much mention here on the Bum.
Thanks Kayla for giving Me Your take on the Pasion. To start while still in the cello it feels very solid as if it might be too tightly packed. Nice Colour wrapper leaf. Cello off and while it still feels firm, it is not as heavy in the hand as expected, not a featherweight. Good looking band the green does work with the wrapper shade, maybe it was chosen to make it stand out from all red banded cigars.swtill. Pasion makes one think of Passion and then red , like red hot, flaming. Then this light pastoral shade of green evokes mild Victorian terms of affection, rather A nice one to have on hand for a bit of variety from time to time, but doubt I'd buy a boxreserved for something that will be aflame. How did I like the cigar? It did take a couple of snips stopping the cut well before the tapered portion was gone. Draw was excellent, overall construction great,even burn line needing no further attention after lighting. Don't know the exact burntime it was at least an hour and a half smoke. Good tobacco taste after the first couple of puffs which seemed a bit dry, then at about a quarter to a half inch in a sharp, bitter taste that stung when retrohaling, the bitterness was short lived and for the remainder it was a very pleasant smooth smoke. Not a one dimensional experience, nor was it one with pronounced and wildly varying changes. It helps to keep in mind that only rarely can I pick up let alone put names to flavour changes when smoking.
To sum up, this cigar did not stand out from most of the other La Aroma De Cuba cigars coming from My Fathers cigars. So along with Kayla I'll say it fell a bit short of My expectations.
At this cigar's price point there're a fair number out there with a bit more pizzazz. Nice to have one on hand for a bit of variety from time top time, but I'll not be buying a box.

Edit. Update. Sure did run on here, going to blame it on Cabin fever. No wonder OLDSMOKEY's gone into Hibernation. Not a lot of this Winter stuff yet, but it still was more than needed.
